So Fish and Chickenare universally accepted staple. As Singapore is an Asian Country, rice would often be inevery meal that any Singaporean eat. Thus, most local meals consist of rice. Singaporeanstoday are also becoming more health conscious and are generally consuming less fats andcarbohydrates, and eating more greens and fresh fruit. coaches. The taste and quality of these healthier dishes will not be compromised while tryingto provide a low fat alternative. For instance, when cooking pot roast, instead of braising themeat immediately, it can be roasted and stewed to reduce the fat content.

So what are the KEY FACTORS when planning a meal for those attending the YouthOlympic Games?

Firstly, We have to prepare the meal for the participants and supporters for those attendingthe Youth Olympic Games that would be both healthy and appetising for their taste. For example, athletes from the USA would have always taken a lot of meat from their daily dietin the country, and thus we have to create a dish that is unique that they had not tasted beforeto prove that Singapore is a food paradise. We can start with preparing some Asians food for them, as most Asians food consist of rice , we can create a simple dish that could satisfy their high carbohydrates diets.

Secondly, We have to take note on how to create the dish. Whether it will be easy, difficult ,delicious or dull , It all depends on how we create and cook these dishes. The cooking stagefor these dishes have to be very précised, we have to use good ingredients that are notoverdue and those that are fresh. Food that is not fresh could make one have several problems.Food poisoning could be a common result if one prepares a meal using an overdue foodsource. Some steps to take note when you are preparing a dish. Firstly, one has to get thecorrect ingredients to make sure that the food that is prepared would be edible and tasty. Thenext step would be before one starts to prepare a meal, one has to remember to wash hishands with soap to ensure that the food that is being prepared would not be dirtied. One hasto always keep an eye on what he is cooking and whether he is following according to the

recipes as sometimes, the food maybe overcooked or even undercooked. After one hascooked the dish, one has to ensure that it is what he wanted it to be before he serves it to a

person. One should always ensure that is cooked, by tasting it before serving. Lastly, theappearance of the dish should be appetising and not revolting, to attract the consumer.

Subsequently, one has to make sure that the food is both fresh and convenient. The dishshould be fresh, making it less prone to diseases. The dish should also be convenient to botheat and prepare. If a dish takes about 3-5days just to prepare it, would it be convenient? Idoubt so, so thus, try to make dishes that are convenient to make and prepare.

Furthermore, a brochure should be made to attract the attention of the consumer. How one present his dish would be how he gets the consumer to try his dishes. Thus, the brochure for these dishes should be colourful and attractive. The brochure should show the benefits onconsuming the dishes, such as whether it is high in carbohydrates, etc.
