Image is everythingImage is everything in todays society.We live in a health and image obsessed world so the food you eat affects how you look and how people perceive you.
Here are a few images from Kellogg’s Special K adverts and photos. They show thin women advertising healthy food. Our group came up with the idea that sometimes thin women also advertise unhealthy food giving a wrong impression
Here are some images of women advertising both unhealthy and healthy food.
The chocolate and ice-cream are being eaten by thin women which is unrealistic and provides a false image of what really happens if you eat too much of these sweet treats.
This advert taken from the Metro caught my attention as it is advertising fast food as a type of life saver. I thought this was wrong as fast food causes health problems but at the same time eating a burger is better than dying in a fire.

This links into the sexualisation of food and how chocolate is considered sexy (connotation)
The company image is important in advertising and through supermarket adverts you can tell the difference and the target audience of certain supermarkets.
