FLOTATION

LPU-40 Flotation Coll P/N Color AMTC-R1049-BLA Black/A 1005877-1A UC 1005877-OCP OCP

The LPU-40 is the specified flotation collar used in the US Army’s Air Warrior program. It attaches to vests and harnesses using the MOLLE system, and the outer casing is made from fire retardant fabrics. A single, beaded inflation lanyard is pulled once to inflate both CO2 cylinders which provides a minimum of 65 lbs. of buoyancy. The bladder has a two chamber design to allow buoyancy in the event that there is damage to either side of the bladder. Either chamber can be orally inflated in the event of an emergency. The unique bladder design incorporates arm straps and a cinch strap, which improve the flotation position of the user.

The LPU-40A is very similar to the LPU-40 but incorporates an auto-inflator as a back-up to the manual pull design. It is designed to inflate the LPU in approximately six seconds once immersed in water. It attaches to vests and harnesses using the MOLLE system, and the outer casing is made of durable fire retardant fabrics. Manual inflation consists of two separate handles (left & right). Each beaded handle is pulled separately to inflate both bladder chambers for a minimum of 65 lbs. of buoyancy. The bladder has a two chamber design to allow buoyancy in the event that there is damage to either side of the bladder. Either chamber can be orally inflated in the event of an emergency. The unique bladder design incorporates arm straps and a cinch strap, which improve the flotation position of the user. AUTO-INFLATOR The auto inflator device is designed for use on life vests where automatic (immersion) backup is desirable. • UL recognized as a USCG Code 6F component • Meets Cen/ISO12402-7 standards • Passes 1F inflator humidity testing requirements

RESCUE HOOKS

The new Auto-Lok Hook is an innovative design, which provides a hoisting hook that is always locked for added safety. The Auto-Lok is manufactured from forged stainless steel. The design incorporates safety releases on both sides of the hook gate. These triggers are easily depressed by a rescuer with a gloved hand, or by an untrained survivor to open the latch. The Auto-Lok is designed to prevent dynamic roll-out at all times. There is a 3/4” eye incorporated in the body of the hook to accommodate trail/tag line hook up for rescue operations, or the addition of a chemlite clip.

PHODS

PHODS (Portable Helicopter Oxygen Delivery System)

P/N: 102935

The Portable Helicopter Oxygen Delivery System (PHODS) is a man-mounted oxygen system that can be attached directly to a crew member’s flight vest and helmet to support flight and ground missions at high altitudes. The oxygen cylinder is a 3AA 4130X steel cylinder that is placed in a pocket made from flame resistant material and mounted on the flight vest. The oxygen is delivered from the cylinder with a first stage regulator to the user through a rubber nasal cannula or face mask. Oxygen delivery is managed by the OPC-M1 Pulse Demand Oxygen unit, powered by two AA batteries. The Oxygen Pulse Controller (OPC) automatically provides a predetermined amount of oxygen when it senses a pressure differential caused by the user’s breathing. The OPC-M1 regulator has an internal barometer to detect altitude and becomes active and de-active at preset altitudes. When the system is turned on, it becomes active/delivers oxygen above 10,000 feet (ft) pressure altitude (PA) and stops delivering oxygen when the altitude drops below 8,500 ft PA. The PHODS is designed for AH-64, UH-60 and CH-47 crews and for altitudes up to 18,000 ft. (Refer to U.S. Army Doc. AR 95-1 for usage and aeromedical requirements.)

SNORKELS

Impulse 3

P/N Type 734420 Flex 734425 Non-flex

Since its introduction in 1989, the Impulse has been the best selling snorkel in the world. Today, after continued refinement and evolution, the Impulse 3 is more streamlined and higher-performing than its predecessors. • The Impulse 3 uses a two-valve system. If a

wave breaks over the snorkel, the patented, upper, annular valve directs most of the water out before it even reaches the mouthpiece. Any water that does get past the annular valve drains out the lower valve.

• The reservoir located below the mouthpiece keeps breathing path clear of excess water. In the rare event that you need to clear the Impulse 3 Snorkel, almost no breath is needed. All it takes is an easy puff.

• Patented Comfo-bite mouthpieces, which eliminate jaw fatigue, are replaceable and an optional, smaller size is available

LINES

Our helicopter hoisting/short haul trail lines are made of rugged polypropylene and have a retro glow tracer line woven in. The polypropylene fibers contain a phosphorescent chemical added during the manufacturing process. It will not wear off. When properly charged by sunlight or other light sources, the rope glows for up to 8 hours. The trail line comes in a mesh bag which allows the line to be charged when exposed to light. These lines can be used as a throw rescue line or a helicopter hoisting trail line.

1/2” Trail Line Kit consists of:
