    As system processing occurs, it may become necessary to notify an automated officeof certain conditions, which require a decision and/or action. This notification isdone by placing items on queue. The item placed on queue can be either of thefollowing.

    tems can be placed on queue by !"# system processing or by !$# your action.

    *i%y+Oi#e Queuing

    %ou must set up each automated city/office with a &eneral 'ueue !&'#. 'ueues canbe constructed separately for each automated city/office according to the type ofitem.

    The (ost Airline can separate certain queues from the &eneral 'ueue with the 'ueue

    Assign !'A# entry. )therwise, all queues, regardless of reason, will be placed on the&eneral 'ueue.

    There is a ma*imum of + queue reason codes that can be assigned to one office, asdetermined by the system parameter --MR. These reason codes can be assignedas indicated below.

    'ueue items are di0ided intopriorityand non-priority queues.

    A queue item with an actionable date that is within three days oftoday's dateis considered a priority queue item.

    Priority queue items are automatically displayed before non2priority queue items.

    3ach item is submitted to queue with a two2letter reason code. The reason code isused to determine how to sort the messages.

    Reason message to be appended to the item

    The reason message has a brief e*planation of why the PNR or message was placedon queue. Additionally, the number of items remaining on the queue is displayed.

    Queue A#%ivi%y Re$o% &'.S. 11..(

    &abriel sends messages to you to ma5e sure the number of items on queue does notbecome too great. A warning message is sent to the super0isory reports !RP# queueunder the following condition.

    A queue reaches 8+9 of its designated limit

    4hen this warning message is sent, an indicator is set to pre0ent further warningmessages. This indicator is remo0ed when a queue is wor5ed to below +:9 of itsdesignated limit.

    The limit and the associated printer P; number for each queue is set with the 'ueue

    Assign entry. 4hen a queue reaches its designated limit the following action ta5esplace.

    ". The oldest items are automatically remo0ed from the beginning of the queue

    $. tems are printed onto the associated printer until the queue is reduced tobelow its warning le0el !+:9 of the queue limit#.

    The warning message has the word WARNING followed by a two2letter code of thequeue that has reached its warning le0el.

    A specific queue is assigned when there is an ad0antage to ha0ing indi0idual queueentries separate from the &eneral 'ueue.

    -e0eral queues can be lin5ed to one queue. Therefore, processing them as a groupcan be done by entering a 'ueue -tart for any one of them.
