IMPORTANT NOTES: 1. The tests and the final exam are multiple choice and problems.

The tests and the final exam are open-book open-notes and a financial calculator is necessary. I would strongly suggest using an HP10Bii or HP10C calculator.

2. You can take each test only once . 3. You have to start the test within the time window allowed as noted

above. The test should be started at least 90 minutes before the window closes for the mid term tests and 120 minutes for the final exam.

4. The test questions are chosen randomly, as a result, no two tests are identical. Some questions are worth more than one point.

5. You take the mid-term tests at home through the BLACKBOARD portal while the final exam is proctored.

6. The self-study quizzes are not an indication of the actual test quizzes. They do not contain problems which are included in the tests.

7. The final exam is not comprehensive. It will cover chapters 12, 13, 15 and 17.

Please find below the important dates for the 2014   Winter Semester testing preparations for all College of Business, fully online courses. Final exam days:                                                                                              January 5th Monday (The Office of Testing Services will proctor final exams for courses from the following disciplines: Accounting, EIS, Finance, Insurance and Risk Management, Management).  Time slots available:                                                                                      9:00 AM;   12:00 PM;    3:00 PM;     6:00 PM  First day for students to register with Testing Services:                Tuesday, December 16th, 2014 Last day for students to register with Testing Services:                 Friday, January 2nd, 2014 Students can take their final exams either at the Downtown or Northwest locations (for free), or at an approved (by the Office of Testing Services) alternative testing location, or at their homes (using ProctorU).  The last two options will require students to pay a fee.  Specific instructions follow

  For the Downtown and Northwest testing location: 1. Go to www.uhd.edu/testing and click on the Academic Testing tab for important information.2. Then click on the RegisterBlast tab when ready to schedule exam(s).3. Select the appropriate semester/term and preferred testing location (Summer III-UHD or Summer III-UHD NW)4. Select the CRN, Class Title, and Instructor  (To locate your CRN, check E-Services to view your class schedule)5. A calendar will appear. The days bolded are the days the test is administered. Select the bolded date of your choice.6. At the bottom of the calendar are the specific times the test is administered. Select the time you want to take the test. Once the seats have been filled for a certain time, the option will disappear.7.The Exam Summary page appears. Complete all required fields. Name must match UHD records. For name changes contact UHD Registrar’s Office.8.Read the “Requested Information” in the scroll box. Acknowledge the information by clicking the check box underneath the scroll box.9.Then click Register.10.Once you click Register, your email confirmation receipt will appear on the next page. Print the receipt for your records. For Non-UHD Testing Locations (for those students who are unable to come to UHD for their proctored exam): 1. Go to www.UHD.edu/testing2. Click on Academic Testing tab3. Click on Proctor Agreement Form4. Read the Proctor Agreement Coversheet5. Print out and complete the Proctor Agreement Form6. Find a suitable proctor and have them complete their half of the form7. Either the student or the proctor can scan and email the form to [email protected] for approval.Once the proctor has been verified and approved by the Office of Testing Services and email will be sent to the student and the proctor. For Online Proctoring (for those students who are interested in utilizing an online proctoring service approved by UHD Testing): ProctorU monitors the student visually and audibly. Students are responsible for all fees incurred for the online proctoring registration and service. ProctorU will be available for registration beginning October 7, 2014.
