Receipt of this addendum shall be noted on Page 3 in the Request for Qualifications-based Proposal documents for the above referenced RFQP. The addendum is hereby made part of the Contract Documents to the same extent as though it were originally included therein. Refer to "Submittal Form" for acknowledgment of addenda. All Contractors, Subcontractors and suppliers are reminded that they shall be familiar with all addenda items (as well as all parts of the construction documents) so as to understand the extent of their work and its interrelation with other trades. To all bidders for furnishing all labor and materials necessary for the following contract: CIVIL ITEMS CIVIL SHEETS ITEM AD1-C1 Clarification: in all sheets where metal handrails or guardrails are referenced, handrails or guardrails must be primed and painted. The paint color shall be coordinated between the City of Farmington and the Architect. 1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCEA. Installer Qualifications: An experienced installer who is certified in writing by the operable partition
manufacturer, as qualified to install the manufacturer's partition systems for work similar in material, design, andextent to that indicated for this Project.
B. Acoustical Performance: Test operable partitions in an independent acoustical laboratory in accordance withASTM E90 test procedure to attain no less than the STC rating specified. Provide a complete and uneditedwritten test report by the testing laboratory upon request.
C. Preparation of the opening shall conform to the criteria set forth per ASTM E557 "Standard Practice forArchitectural Application and Installation of Operable Partitions."
1.04 SUBMITTALSA. Product Data: Material descriptions, construction details, finishes, installation details, and operating instructions
for each type of operable partition, component, and accessory specified.B. Shop Drawings: Show location and extent of operable partitions. Include plans, sections, details, attachments to
other construction, and accessories. Indicate dimensions, weights, conditions at openings, and at storage areas,and required installation, storage, and operating clearances. Indicate location and installation requirements forhardware and track, including floor tolerances required and direction of travel. Indicate blocking to be providedby others.
C. Setting Drawings: Show imbedded items and cutouts required in other work, including support beam punchingtemplate.

2.04 PANEL CONSTRUCTIONA. Nominal 4.25-inch (108mm) thick panels in manufacturer's standard 51-inch (1295mm) widths. All panel
horizontal and vertical framing members fabricated from minimum 16-gage formed steel with overlapped andwelded corners for rigidity. Top channel is reinforced to support suspension system components. Frame isdesigned so that full vertical edges of panels are of formed steel and provide concealed protection of the edges ofthe panel skin.

PART 3: EXECUTION3.01 INSTALLATION
A. General: Comply with ASTM E557, operable partition manufacturer's written installation instructions, Drawingsand approved Shop Drawings.
B. Install operable partitions and accessories after other finishing operations, including painting have beencompleted.
C. Match operable partitions by installing panels from marked packages in numbered sequence indicated on ShopDrawings.
D. Broken, cracked, chipped, deformed or unmatched panels are not acceptable.3.02 CLEANING AND PROTECTION
A. Clean partition surfaces upon completing installation of operable partitions to remove dust, dirt, adhesives, andother foreign materials according to manufacturer's written instructions.
B. Provide final protection and maintain conditions in a manner acceptable to the manufacturer and installer thatinsure operable partitions are without damage or deterioration at time of Substantial Completion.

1. CONTRACTOR SHALL ESTABLISH A ROOT PROTECTION ZONE AROUND EACH EXISTING TREE TO REMAIN. THE ROOT PROTECTION ZONE SHALL BE AN AREA
DEFINED BY A RADIUS EXTENDING OUTWARD FROM THE TRUNK OF THE TREE A DISTANCE OF ONE LINEAR FOOT FOR EACH INCH DIAMETER OF THE TREE. THE
TREE DIAMETER SHALL BE MEASURED AT BREAST HEIGHT (4.5' ABOVE FINISH GRADE). EXAMPLE: A 10 INCH DIAMETER TREE WILL HAVE A 10 FOOT RADIUS
ROOT PROTECTION ZONE.
2. CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL FENCING AT THE PERIMETER OF ROOT PROTECTION ZONES. NO WORK SHALL BEGIN WHERE TREE PROTECTION FENCING HAS NOT BEEN COMPLETED AND APPROVED. TREE PROTECTION
FENCING SHALL BE INSTALLED, MAINTAINED AND REPAIRED BY THE CONTRACTOR DURING CONSTRUCTION. THE FENCING SHALL BE A MINIMUM OF
4' HEIGHT.
3. CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT STORE OR DRIVE EQUIPMENT, VEHICLES OR MATERIALS WITHIN THE ROOT PROTECTION ZONE.
4. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROTECT EXISTING ROOTS FROM DAMAGE WHEN WORKING WITHIN THE ROOT PROTECTION ZONE. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
LIMIT DEMOLITION OR OTHER CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE ROOT PROTECTION ZONE TO THE MINIMUM DISTURBANCE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE
CONSTRUCTION.
5. CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT ALLOW CONCRETE TRUCKS TO CLEAN CHUTES OR DUMP EXCESS CONCRETE OR ANY OTHER CEMENTITIOUS PRODUCTS IN ANY PORTION OF THE SITE. CONTRACTOR SHALL CLEAN THE WASTE OF OTHER
CEMENTITIOUS MATERIALS FROM THE SURFACE AND THEY SHALL NOT BE TURNED UNDER DURING FINAL GRADING.
6. CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT TRENCH WITHIN THE DRIPLINE OF EXISTING TREES.
AT LOCATIONS WHERE IT IS NECESSARY TO INSTALL LINES OR WIRE WITHIN THE DRIPLINE OF EXISTING TREES, THE UTILITY SHALL BE INSTALLED BY BORING UNDER TREE ROOTS.
7. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE TEMPORARY WATER TO TREES, SHRUBS AND
TURFGRASS SHOWN TO REMAIN, AS IS REQUIRED IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN ALL PLANT MATERIAL IN A HEALTHY, THRIVING AND DISEASE-FREE CONDITION.
THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DETERMINING THE FREQUENCY AND DURATION OF WATERING."

ALL ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL CONDUIT MUST BE PVC OR RMC. USE RMC ONLY WHERE EXPOSED.
BRANCH WIRING METHODS FOR INTEGRAL LIGHTING IN SPLASH PAD SHALL COMPLY WITH NEC 680.23 AND 680.24, SIMILAR TO UNDERWATER POOL LUNINAIRES, WHERE PHYSICALLY APPLICABLE.
