Hosting a softball camp is suggested to alleviate these problems and help the team raise money to be able to travel to games and buy needed gear/equipment for the season.

GoalThe proposal to host a softball camp at Alvernia University softball field will improve the budget to help buy new uniforms, gear, equipment and travel costs

ObjectiveHosting a softball camp at Algeria University will improve the teams overall budget and publicity by 90% within the first season of implementation effective October 12, 2014

Introduction/BackgroundIn the past two years, as documented by the athletic director, inadequate use of old equipment has hindered the teams successfulness by 40%. Hosting a softball camp will improve the budget to be able to buy new equipment, gear, team commodity, and increase the profit of the organization.By hosting this softball camp, old equipment, old gear/uniforms, small budget and low profit will show an increase by raising money for the organization. The coaches and players will be able to use more up-to-date equipment, an improvement of publicity of the softball program will be noted, and the program will be able to spend money on useful gear/uniforms as well as money to afford travel fares. Profit from this camp will reveal increased successfulness through upgraded purchases while expanding the programs publicity to the younger generation of athletes.CredibilityA study by Texas A&M, showed that athletes using old equipment show more losses in their record, than wins in a season (Texas A&M Athlete Journal, 2014).

The use of new gear and uniforms show an increase in the publicity of athletic teams and lead to having more wins (Alabama Univ. Newspaper, 2014)

Local businesses that sponsor the program tend to be satisfied with the opportunity to support a successful team and help with travel costs by up to 65% (Mimmos Pizza owner, 2014).

95% of athletes say that an increase in newer equipment and gear will help the teams comorodity and will improve their strategies for games (James Madison Univ. Tribune, 2014).
