What is a Sketch?

A sketch is different from a map. It is a rough drawing of an area, based on memory and

spot observation and not to scale.

e.g., we may explain someone that how he will reach at his place by drawing a rough diagram

of the locality and its roads.

Directions and distances are shown in a sketch but it does not use a scale.
