Reporting and Forecasting Tool (RAFT Prototype) Josh Freedman (Amanda Tat, Angela McKunas , Joe Webber, Mary Ellen Sinkus) Institute for Soldier Nanotechnologies Create an application to help quickly and easily keep PI’s informed about the status of their cost objects. • Web based application • GL based accounting with customizable categories • Drill down capability to see individual salary expenses • Incorporate ESDS data to help project future expenses. • PDF report Generation • Custom Reports DLC Implementation Requirments – Future plans While this application was developed to be useable by any unit, with customization for data, there is a relatively high level of expertise required to to set up and maintain. Approximately 9 Brio Queries need to be run each month (or more often) for get data. - This can be automated with help from IST Budget data needs to be directly uploaded to Database – Can develop a budget creation function – Original plan was to take data from KC and import via Data Warehouse Plans for creating ability to create “what ifs” were shelved when development stopped for RAFT.
