Chief Guest: Dr.Kamaraj works at ESI Hospital, an active social worker.
Description:
On 24th Aug 2015 we held our Inaugural Function at TRP Auditorium of our College in which
more than 300 students participated. The chief Guest for the day was Dr.Kamaraj from ESI Hospital
who is a social worker. On that day the club was inaugurated and 16 of our members were elected
as office bearers for that year. The total Strength of the club became 180.The Chief Guest gave a
motivational speech to the students and member’s .The event went well.

Our club members took part in the camp held at the Red Cross Blood Bank. In total, 8 members

LITTLE DROPS OLD AGE HOME

Description:
On the 21st of August'2015, 65 of our YRC members visited the Little Drop Orphanage under the
guidance of Mr.Syed Mohammed Jamal and accompanied by our staff Dr.S.Elangovan. Our
members spent their entire day with old aged and mentally challenged people about 400 in number.
We also provided them with clothes that was collected from our college and also gave them fruits
and cereals. This event was a moving one and taught us morals which should be a part of
everyone’s life.

SHORE HOMES ORPHANAGE

Description:
On 13th September 2015 nearly 20 members of YRC visited the Shore Home orphanage at
Ambattur the members spent the whole day with nearly 40 children of the age 8 to 14. It was an
energising event because of the smile in the children`s face which made everyone happy. This event
happened under the leadership of Sandya and Syed Jamal Abdulla

Description:
On 23rd September 2015, the YRC conducted technical and Non-technical events. One of the
events was Photoshop design in which the participants have to create a poster with slogan. The
event was judged by Mr Karthick Raj (staff) from BDM department .Short film contest took place
in which participants screened their short films. The topic given was Awarness, Social cause and
Social service.The Judge for the event was Mr.Anand (staff) from civil department
To develop Photography Skills of students, Photography contest was held, The Judge Mr Bharathi
Raja.N (Staff) from CSE department had tough time to select the winner.
Paper Presentation was another event which was conducted on Awareness, Social cause, Social
Service and Revolution. The Students presented ideas and show cased their innovation.
Students brought in their ideas with a different style based on the topics given to them, the two
topics were Innovative thoughts to develop the nation and Innovative techniques to spread
Awareness. Mr.Om Kumar CU (staff) from CSE department was the judge for this event.
Under the leadership of Vigneesh.Pa and Sandeep.S.G the events took place and the top three
winners of the events were given prizes, certificates and shield. The function and events went well,
which helped to showcase talents of students and as fund raiser event

Description:
As we know being hygienic is a part of healthy life style .So as to create an awareness we organised
an event at Megamart Junction Bus Stop. Hundreds of college students, school kids, working men
and women pass by without paying attention to the ambience, it was pretty much sad condition to
see. The bus stop was full of movie poster and pan spat everywhere, and the place was full of trash.
After the clean-up process, we all were really happy and we admired our work .The cleanliness
brought a satisfaction to us.

Description:
When heavy floods attacked the Chennai city. We organised a flood relief camp. Many students
volunteered to arrange food and clothes for the people who were really affected by the floods from
other districts like Villupuram,Madurai,Tiruchy. They stayed up to late evenings to distribute the
relief materials for the people in Cuddalore and Chennai.

On 13-02-2016 the members of YRC organised a dental camp at St.Antony Nursery and Primary
school
The students of the school were provided with Dental care and the importance of oral health was
explained to them. Tips were given to students to maintain healthy teeth and gums

FOOD DONATION FOR THE ROAD SIDE PEOPLE

Description:
As we know that food and water are basic needs of life, there are people who suffer even to eat once
a day, as a member of YRC, the at most we identified such people in the streets of Tambaram,
Porur, Guindy, Ramapuram and Koyambedu. We distributed food packages to those people.

MISSION CRUSADER (CYCLE RALLY)

Cause: Breast Cancer Awareness

Description :
As we know that women are the pride of our nation, we the members of YRC took initiative to
create an awareness on breast cancer. Our motto is to let everyone know the importance of this
issue. We had banners and placards saying “Pedal your support for Breast Cancer”, the cycle rally
event was organized on 6.03.2016. Around 60 members participated in this event we started at 6:30
am from Ramapuram college campus with banners and placards tied to our cycles which had
several quotes on the awareness of breast cancer. We cycled nearly for an hour.
The response we gained for this event was enormous, people appreciated us and prior security and
support was given by the police to stop the entire traffic and guided us through.
The event happened under the leadership of Pa.Vigneesh.

Description:
On 08-03-2016 the YRC club organised a special event for woman’s day. People from various
cities were asked to post their picture along with a placard with quotes for the empowerment and
values of women. All the photos were posted on Facebook, these pictures were made into collage
by Vigneesh Pandiarajan, and the response of various people from different cities was
overwhelming.

Description :
On 20-03-16 the members of YRC conducted a survey to create an awareness on the importance of
voting, and importance of choosing the right leader. We interviewed people from Ashok pillar,
Gunidy & Ramapuram. We asked them questions regarding the upcoming election and its boon
&bane.
People actively participated and answered them. We made a video and posted in YouTube and we
received good response from the public.

Description:
On 31-03-16 the students of Easwari formed a human chain to create awareness on road safety.
Many students both members and non-members of YRC actively participated in the event. This
event was held after the college, so as when the students and faculty pass by, they read the placards.
We stopped few students violating rules and we instructed them to wear helmets. This was to create
awareness against road accidents. We were totally contented when the event got over.
