Faculty of Civil Engineering Annual Report �009

The Faculty granted approval for its staff to participate in the training, courses, seminars, conference, workshop, technical visits which were organized by the Faculty, and they were also given the opportunity to attend programmes organized by relevant external organizations. A total of 165 staff attended national and international training, symposium, conference, seminar and workshop in 2009 to enhance their knowledge and skills which would in turn contribute towards achieving the objectives of the organization. The table below illustrates the percentage of staff who participated in training, course, seminar, conference and workshop.

It is compulsory for the academic staff to attend a minimum of 59 hours of training per year. For non-academic staff, they are required to attend 40 hours per year. The graph below shows the percentage of staff who have fulfilled the required hours.
