Workshop on Awareness on Plagiarism Prevention and
Reference Management Tool was organized by
Institutional Academic Integrity Panel on 20th November
2019. Workshop was attended by all aspiring
researchers of M.A.E.E.R’s Physiotherapy College
including 4th years, Interns, PG’s and Teachers.
Dr Varoon C Jaiswal took the lecture on Plagiarism
Prevention and Awareness and hands on training for
Reference Management Tool ‘’Mendeley’’ was given to
all the participants. In total 47 students and 5 teachers
attended the workshop.

Basic Life Support, airway Management & first aid

Lecture series was organized for the Interns batch (2019-2020) by Department of
Cardiovascular and Respiratory Physiotherapy of MAEER’S Physiotherapy College,
followed by a BLS and airway management workshop as an extended celebration
of World Physiotherapy Day.
First lecture for the session started at 9:30 am, on Sensitization to bioethics which
was conducted by Dr. Priya Chitre. This lecture was followed by enlightening the
students on Central Government Health Schemes by Dr. Rupali Bagga Verma
(Dept. of Community Medicine /Preventive & Social Medicine. Lecture Series was
concluded by the last Lecture by Dr. Atul Godhankar (Plastic Surgeon) who helped
the student on First Aid, Wound/Scar Management. Practical Demonstration was
given to students on First Aid and Wound Dressing.
The BLS and airway management workshop was conducted by the Anesthesia
Dept. of MIMER Medical College. The workshop began with lecture on Basic life
support and importance of it and the Airway management, which was delivered
by Dr. Anita Kulkarni. The students were given a pre-test and then were divided
into 4 groups and 3 work-stations. 2 workstations were arranged for COALS and
one was for Airway management. Practical demonstration was given to the
interns and they were asked to practice it on mannequins. The workshop was
concluded by Certificate distribution and vote of thanks.

On occasion of World Physiotherapy Day MAEER’S Physiotherapy college
Talegaon Dabhade organised 2 days workshop on kinesiotaping by Dr. Prakash
Shroff on 9/9/19 & 10/9/19 for 4th year BPTh students.
With the permission and guidance of Principal Dr. Snehal Ghodey Mam, the whole
planning of organizing workshop was undertaken.
MAEER’s Physiotherapy College verbally contacted to Physiohealth in June for
availability of the dates and it was finalised for 9 and 10 sept 2019.
There were 26 participants and 2 faculty who attended workshop. 2 teachers Dr.
Aishwarya Kanhere and Dr. Pooja Gulunjkar were allwed to attend the workshop
free of cost.
The registration for the workshop started at around 1.30 pm on 9/9/19. At 2.00pm
lecture was started. At 3.00 pm practical sessions for lower limb and conditions
such as plantar fascitis, Hallux valgus etc. with pair were conducted. Workshop for
first day ended at 6.45pm.
On 10th
sep, breakfast at 8.30 am were started, at 9.00am participants were given
upper limb kinesiotaping and scapular taping for rhomboids, supraspinatus.
Kinesiotaping for conditions like Carpal tunnel syndrome, TFCC etc. hands on
practical session with pairs
Paricipants were given feedback forms which were collected at 3.30pm. at 4.00pm
v aledictory and certificate distribution was done at the end of session
REPORT ON ‘PNF: Theory to Practice’ WORKSHOP ORGANISED BY
MAEER’S PHYSIOTHERAPY COLLEGE, TALEGAON DABHADE

MAEER’S Physiotherapy College, in association with Department of Neurophysiotherapy
organized a 2 day hands on workshop on ‘PNF: Theory to Practice’ by Dr. Harpreet Singh
Sachdev (P.T) on 17th and 18th August 2019.
This Workshop was aimed at Faculty, post graduate students, interns and final year B. P.Th, 3rd
year B.P.Th students interested in PNF.
32 participants from all over Maharashtra including 4 MAEER’S Physiotherapy College staff, Dr.
Sayli Paldhikar, Dr. Priya Chitre, Dr. Sumitra Sakhwalkar and Dr. Tanpreet Kaur Mehta attended
the workshop.
On 17th August 2019, after registration and breakfast from 9-9.30, the workshop began with
introduction of the resource person as a level 1 PNF certified instructor, followed by a theory
lecture upto 1 pm.
Post lunch participants were given hands on demonstration and practice of PNF patterns and
techniques of the shoulder girdle, pelvic girdle and upper limb patterns in Core lab of
Physiotherapy College. The instructor ensured that every participant had proper supervised
practice, correction of techniques and good interaction and resolution of queries.
Breakfast, lunch and hi tea was arranged on all 2 days. Lecture notes were distributed via
email/ whatsapp to all participants.
On day 2 , Lower limb patterns and techniques, PNF for gait and Breathing as well as use of
therabands and ball for PNF was practiced by the participants.
Dr. Harpreet interacted with every participant to explain their queries.
At the end of the event, post workshop feedback forms were distributed and collected from all
participants. Certificates were distributed and workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by
Dr. Sumitra and Dr. Tanpreet.

students with 2 staff as participants attending the workshop.
