Report I conducted a survey and a focus group to find out my audiences reaction to my photos, I used people of both genders and deferent ages to get accurate results. My survey had 8 people and 2 were female and 6 were male. The first question I asked was “Which photo do you like the best” in front I had 3 votes for Uptown taxi, in second I had 2 votes for “Broadway at night”.i also had some other suggest such as “9/11 south tower and Grand central long exposure. From these results I can see that people favourite photo out of the 16 they saw is “Uptown Taxi”. My next question was “Would you buy any of my photos” the general consensus was that they would buy my photos with 7 out of 8 saying they would. My last question was “What do you like or dislike about my photos” this was a written answer and after reading them I have come to the conclusion that everyone liked most of my photos such as the blur photo at grand central station with a long exposure. But most people commented on how they didn’t like the Rockefeller Centre edit, I think this is because it is quiet radical and personal to me as I like the painting in the background which I have seen before Berlin. I have found the results from my survey to be very positive and helpful. It is nice to know that people like my photos. I have found out that Uptown taxi is the most favoured photo out of all of my photos. I’m really surprised that everyone wants to my photography; which lets me know that I have got my target audience right. The responses to my next question were also positive (“Would you buy any of my photos”) this is also a great indicator that I have got my target audience correct. For the focus group I asked 5 questions my first question was “Which is the best Photo” 3 people said “Uptown Taxi” and 1 said “9/11 South tower.” This is interesting and shows that people think the Uptown Taxi is the best photo by far.

Report

I conducted a survey and a focus group to find out my audiences reaction to my photos, I used people of both genders and deferent ages to get accurate results.

My next question is ”Which is the worst photo” 3 people said that “27th and 7th” is the worst photo and one said that “Broadway at night” is the worst. I think people don’t like my “47th and 7th”because it is a portrait photograph. This helps me understand that I should probably change this photo.

After that I asked this question “Would you put any of my photos up at home?” 4 out of 4 people said yes they would put some of my photos up at home. This is really positive and shows me that I have got the right target audience and my photos are appealing.

My second to last question is “How much would you pay for “Uptown Taxi”?” the price range people offered was from £20 to £50 with an average of £28.75. This shows that my photos are profitable and of a good quality because of the high price people are willing to pay.

My final question was “Would you edit any of my photos differently?” This question was very well answered and my peers all said that the “Rockefeller centre” should be edited differently. I think this is because it is very to my taste and is not a photo which most people like. In less they see the photograph is Berlin called the Birth of Hitler.

In conclusion I feel that the survey was better because it gave me better answers and I got peoples opinions
