On August 15th 2014, a workshop organized by ‘Translation Group’ in association with ‘Bangladesh Institute of Islamic Thought (BIIT)’ held at Help and Knowledge Bangladesh conference room at Dhaka, focussing on the theme of ‘Different Aspects of Translation’. Mohammad Mozammel Hoque, Associate Professor of Philosophy, University of Chittagong was the key note speaker in the workshop. This was followed by a report presentation, giving an overview on ongoing progress of translation work of one of the IIIT’s books – Parent-Child Relations: A Guide to Raising Children.TRANSCRIPT

Among others, Ms Kaniz Fatima, coordinator of the translation group emphasized on threesteps to be taken into consideration seriously in case of this book – first, on the translationof this book; second, on the publication and then lastly, on to be taken parenting as thesocial movement seriously.
Dr. Abdul Awal Miah pointed outtwo features of a translator: oneis the expertise of the translatoron the theme to be translatedand another one is the expertiseon both the languages.Prof. Dr. Abu Kholdun AlMahmood, Vice President ofPublication of BIIT as specialguest advised translator groupswhether possible to start thestudy circle on the book - Parent-Child Relations: A Guide to
Raising Children, as it would be very helpful to improve its translation quality.
