NATIONAL LEVEL TECHNICAL SYMPOSIUM (eBLAST2k17)

REPORT

Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering of Kings College of Engineering,

Punalkulam, organized National Level Technical Symposium, e-BLAST2k17, on 01.09.2017.

The objective of the symposium is to share the technical knowledge among students of

various Engineering colleges all over India. Mr.A,Aravind Amstrong, President, e-BLAST2k17,

delivered the welcome address. Final year student, Ms.S.Priyadharshini, Vice-President,

introduced the Guest of Honour. Dr.A.Amuthasurabi, Prof & Head, Indian Institute of

Food Processing, Thanjavur was the Guest of Honour and delivered inaugural address. In

his address, he briefed about “80-20 Policy”. Mrs. T.Shanthi, Associate Professor/ECE, Kings

College of Engineering felicitated. 30 papers were received and 20 papers were selected for

presentation after scrutinization. 40 students from various colleges participated and

presented their papers pertaining to Electronics and Communication Engineering. 30

students participated in non-technical events.

On this occasion, an Intradepartmental Mini Project Expo was organized to enable the

students to exhibit their talents in the form of projects related to Water level alarm,

Automatic plant irrigation system and Electronic Eye controlled security system. About 37

(second year and third year) students participated in the exhibition. 16 projects were

exhibited; students explained the working principle of their projects and demonstrated.

Finally, Mr.R.Ponni, AP/ECE Coordinator of e-BLAST2K17, expressed thanks to the

Management, CEO, Principal, Vice- Principal, Teaching and Non teaching staff members,

students of ECE and the participants from various colleges for the grand success of

e-BLAST2K17.
