As we all know that the green cover in India has been depleting day by day due to
various reasons like deforestration, construction of new buildings and various other
projects, in this view KLU CEA (Centre For Extension Activities) has taken up the
initiative and started an event titled “Vruksh Praan” of planting saplings and do our
worth for the increase in the green cover.
As part of this event we have planned on planting as many saplings as we could
and also let the people outside know the importance of planting trees.
And so few members of the organization set off for reaching the goal. We have
decided to plant saplings every Saturday and we have till now been successful in doing
so.
We started the event on 9th of July and till now planted 10 saplings at the
Yuvataram Foundation.
We also have taught the children of the Yuvataram Foundation about the
importance of trees and the way we have to plant them.
In this way we hope to do our bit in increasing the greenery.

Drone Technology Awareness
The sight of a flying object never ceases to amaze us as it is one of the few things
man cannot achieve physically himself .The wonder & awe are ever so refreshing more
so in the minds of children.
Team CEA has taken the initiative of spreading awareness about Drone
Technologies & how they can play a crucial role in this year's prestigious Krishna
Pushkaralu.
We have organized awareness high school students where we explained in a
simple and understandable manner the working of drones.
We made sure to deliver the content in a manner such that children feel interested
and genuinely learn more on their own.
An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), commonly known as a drone, as an
unmanned aircraft system (UAS), or by several other names, is an aircraft without a
human pilot aboard .The flight of UAVs may operate with various degrees of autonomy:
either under remote control by a human operator, or fully or intermittently
autonomously, by onboard computers.
Team CEA in collaboration with Fopple Team has proposed the use of drone
systems equipped with camera capable of taking photos & broadcasting live feed during
Krishna Pushkaralu. This gives us live time updates and keeps us ready to go in case of
emergencies. The feed can be monitored and subsequent measures can be taken by
officials. We explained in detail what kind of advantages drone surveillance will give
us in crowd control, security & statistical analysis.
This event was spread over the course of n days with a goal of imparting basic
knowledge and also with a hope of instilling the spark of interest within young minds.

AWARENESS IN TECHNOLOGY
Technology can be viewed as an activity that forms or changes culture. Additionally,
technology is the application of math, science, and the arts for the benefit of life as it is known.
Technology advances show people a more efficient way to do things, and these processes get
results. For example, education has been greatly advanced by the technological advances of
computers. Students are able to learn on a global scale without ever leaving their classrooms.
Agricultural processes that once required dozens upon dozens of human workers can now be
automated, thanks to advances in technology, which means cost-efficiency for farmers.
Consequently, we are doing this event to create awareness about technology from earliest to
Latest among students.
All the volunteers (Students) of CEA who are interested in the campus will move to the
Govt. and private schools to guide the students about the variations in past to present
technology by presenting them some of the videos and paper presentations. As a result the
students can know about the advancement in technology along with manufacturing to some
extent.
Benefits:
This event was to Create awareness among students about Technology and its
manufacturing process.
Students those who are interested in technology can get a better idea with this event.

Just as a spark starts a fire, a spark was set by Misses Nupur Tandon.
Nupur Tandon, Founder of the Bengaluru-based waste management company
Pro Waste, has zeroed it on the issue at a very local level and thought that if the problem
is setting precedents to show how bottom up efforts matter, bulk generators are the
places to start. The idea is to recycle 100 per cent of the waste these centres produce, in
order to eliminate the amount of waste that goes to the landfill.
Pro waste was founded in 2012, since then working with institutions and
organizations to manage their waste effectively. One such fortunate institutions is K L
University.
Pro waste is beyond just providing services, it is a concept which helps people
understand that their waste is a resource, and how it should be managed. Pro waste helps
set up integrated, sustainable eco-friendly processes thus creating "Zero Waste Zones".
The mission is to change people’s habit of throwing waste, and instead
segregating it and giving it to recycling centres. It is beyond just providing services; we
aim at working at the ground level with the people. We stress on awareness, training,

BLOOD GROUPING
Everyone have the responsibility to know their blood group because it is very
useful in some part of our life. We the members of CEA taken an initiation part to collect
the data base regarding blood groups of the children and we successfully had done our
duty. We have noticed that many of the children have low blood levels. The main
reason we have noticed there is the children are not eating the food that is sufficient to
their body. This is due to lack of awareness and there is no person to guide them how
much quantity of food they need to consume daily.
We also noticed that the children over their we’re very excited to know about a
new thing that they notice around. We also explained how to know what our blood
group is easily in an understandable way. There are some children studying nursing
have experienced some of the practical knowledge and the expressed their views of the
process.
Our final output is we have collected the data of blood groups individually that
may be useful in future. We also need to give a small counseling regarding how much
quantity of food they need to consume daily and if they do not take the sufficient food
what are the problems they are going to face in future.

Health Camp
"Nothing tastes as good as feeling healthy". Treatment facilities, medical staff
and medicines are often not available, and the patient is left disillusioned and
disappointed. Infect most treatable ailments are often left undiagnosed resulting in the
disease to spread and grow By the time people realise that the situation is getting out of
their hands they are not left with any options as remote villages seldom don’t have the
facilities of modern and advanced technologies. Also people who primary depend on
agriculture can most definitely not pay the extreme high prices of modern medicine. So KLU-CEA has
organized a Free Health Check-up Camp at Chirravuru on 26/03/2017 in association with Young
India Volunteer Organization.
