Highlights from the meeting – Oil and Gas

• Preliminary agreement to establish Arctic Regulators Forum. The link from the Forum to Arctic Council is not clear. EPPR might have a role.

• Presentations from the oil industry– Proposed a workshop to share information

about what the oil industry is doing. EPPR might have a role to arrange this (March 2015?)

Highlights from the meeting Maritime safety– Traffic monitoring and management

• Ship reporting systems• Aerial surveillance –( EPPR possible link to UAV project) • Access to and use of relevant data to improve analysis

– Maritime services• Navigational charts – (PAME project?)• Improved meteorological and oceanographic forecasts• Marine Aids to Navigation• Identification of location and availability of emergency

response vessels and equipment to prevent groundings (SDWG AMAATI project - EPPR)

• Pilotage in Arctic waters• Increase availability of MARPOL port reception facilities
