Research work on cyberbullying

Introduction

For the first school term we decided to deal with the phenomenon of cyberbullying in

our school. So we printed questionnaires for the students. This also had to do with our

school’s involvement in a Erasmus+ project called SIFA (Safe Internet For All).

"Safe Internet for all" (SIFA) is a two year Erasmus+ project running

2014-2016.Erasmus + is an EU programme promoting international cooperation,

exchange and mobilities within the fields of education, training, youth and sports for the

period2014-2020.The project’s main aim is to increase the awareness and knowledge

about the risks and possible consequences in connection with the use of internet as well

as to help pupils and teachers to handle such negative consequences.All project

activities are carried out promoting safe and ethic use of the Internet.The SIFA project is

a cooperation between school partners from Greece, Austria, Poland, Norway andSweden where each country hosts an international project meeting on a different theme

related to Internet use, i.e. Addiction, Health, Security, Ethics and Safety .

There were other ideas such as creating a power point about cyberbullying in order to

inform the students. There were also thoughts to inform other schools as well.

Using excel

For the analysis of the questionnaires we used excel. We had the opportunity to relatesome questions. Through the relationships we tried to figure out if the results of the

investigation was reasonable.

Presentation to parents

Due to inform parents of the Parents' Association and guardians were able to show the

power point to the parents. So they could be informed about cyberbullying and about

the impact of the phenomenon on their children.
