Overview - Limitations• Not intended for DSE assessments

• Most suited for tasks that:– repeat every few minutes or even more frequently– occur for at least 1 – 2 hours per day

• Assessment criteria can struggle with:– prolonged fixed postures that are either not

awkward or may not occur for more than 50% ofthe time

– intensive finger motions (typing)– e.g. hair styling and dentistry work

Task details

Gingerbread Packing

• The worker slides packages of gingerbread into cardboardsleeves.

• The worker reports the force is light.

• There is a shift duration of 8 hours. The worker rotates betweenthis task and a different non-repetitive task every after 60minutes. In total, they pack gingerbread for just less than half oftheir total shift time.

• Sometimes the worker has difficulties keeping up with the paceof the work.
