Segway (PT)® is a self-balancing, personal transportation device designed to go nearly everywhere people go and they are a lot of fun to ride.

After an initial safety introduction to the machine and a little practice, we glide from our starting point at the Old harbour along the northern side of the Reykjavik peninsula.

The tour may include but is not limited to the following places: Old harbour, Harpa concert hall, Sun Voyager Viking ship sculpture, Hofdi house where the two presidents Reagan and Gorbachev met in October 1986, Laugardalur valley with its sports complex, original hot springs and botanical garden.

● +/- 2 hours ● ISK 10,000● 15 year age limit. ● Weight limit 40-120 kg (100-260 pounds) ● Persons under age of 18 must travel with a guardian.● All must sign a release before the tour.

Classic Reykjavik - From the city centre to the greener parts of the city and picturesque views of the sea – you will take in some of Reykjavik’s most important sights and stories on this tour. The route usually includes but is not limited to the following places: City centre, Harpa Concert Hall, Parlia-ment building, Ægisida – Reykjavik’s south-facing beach, University of Iceland campus, Nordic house, Catholic cathedral, Old Harbour and lake.

Coast of Reykjavik - Experience Iceland’s evening sun from a bicycle saddle. Join us on a trip along Reykjavik’s coast, which is the perfect way to spend a summer’s night in town.

The route usually includes but is not limited to the following places: Perlan area, Nautholsvik thermal beach, Seltjarnar-nes peninsula and bird sanctuary, Grotta tidal island and lighthouse. Most of the ride is on a dedicated paved and flat bicycle path. You’ll pass some of Reykjavik’s coastal mansions.

● 2.5 hours (18 km / 12 miles of cycling). ● Fairly easy ride on mostly flat paved coastal path.● ISK 5,500● Private tours available all year.

Golden Circle & Bike - See all three highlights of the south west of Iceland: Geysir geothermal area, Gullfoss waterfall and Thingvellir National Park – from a bike saddle.

We travel in a mini-bus with a bike trailer to Gullfoss waterfall, where you’ll do your first ride of the day. We then visit Geysir geothermal area and Thingvellir National Park, which is on UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites. We spend a good hour cycling in the national park before returning to Reykjavik.

● 8 hours (25 km bicycling in 1.5 hours).● Easy ride and support van follows. ● ISK 21,000● Private tours available all year with, or without bikes.

Volcanic Westman Islands is an ideal place to bicycle. After a two-hour drive in the mini-bus and a 30-minute ferry ride to the main island Heimaey, we get on our bikes and pedal to view its main attractions such as, Pompeii of the North, puf-fin colonies in summer, Helgafell volcano, lavafield from 1973, half-collapsed houses due to the lava flow and more!

We bicycle mostly on paved surface, but for some of the views, we need to bicycle/walk up some hills.

● 12 hours - about 3 hrs in total spent on the island.● Fairly easy ride but there are some hills and trails. ● ISK 31,000● 5 June – 28 August (2014) Thursday at 1 PM ● Minimum 4 participants – please contact us!

Lake Chal lenge Trave l in a min i -bus to Lake Thingvallavatn where we bicycle through Iceland’s first national park and encircle the lake on a quiet secondary road. See the best visible example of a rift valley anywhere on the Mid-Atlantic ridge.

The lake is surrounded by volcanic formations, i.e. shield volcanoes, palagonite tuff mountains, lava fields and farm-land.

● 6 hours (64 km bicycling in 4 hours).● Fairly challenging. Support van follows. ● ISK 31,000● Private tours available all year.
