renovation of auc science building- tahrir campus
DESCRIPTION
The Project is a trail to change the community perspective that the AUC is an enclosed hub for it’s own society and the campus is NOT ALLOWED area. The building is to be part of the street, in which there are two fabrics woven within the surroundings. The horizontal fabric is intervened with the metro station and the university garden and this is to create a flow of the community to the university. The university is to be an exhibit to the outer community where they share the right to observe the education process. A Street like promenade creating a street/learning environment where newspaper buyers engage with students reading. The public is allowed into the garden to engage with the university student and be part of the campus. The vertical fabric is the creation of sheds and transparent facades to connect the pedestrians with the learning alley environment.TRANSCRIPT
