But in today’s rapidly-changing environment, it’s more important than ever that we source new solutions that will safeguard all our futures.

We know that the vehicle is at a turning point, it has to evolve whether you believe in global warming or not; to emit less in cities, to make less noise and to use increasingly scarce energy more effi ciently.

At Renault we are working to create more affordable vehicles, with radically lower CO2 emissions. For the widest possible audience. Today that’s our 32 Trafi c Van versions. Eco2 indicates that the vehicle produces CO2 emissions lower than 195 g/km, it includes at least 5% recycled plastic in its plastic mass, and has been designed in such a way that 95% of the materials used could have a second life (recyclable for other use or as a source of energy). In addition eco2 means that our factories are ISO 14001 certifi ed.

Starting this year there will be a groundbreaking range of electric vehicles, from a nippy town car to a comfortable family saloon and a small van. They will be affordable to run – you will be able to drive up to 100 miles using a battery that costs typically £3 to charge, and a lot less using cheaper tariffs. And parking and congestion charges should all be lower, too.

We believe it’s time to make the vehicle a driver of progress once more. We are determined to drive that change. Soon you will be able to join us.

To guard against everyday hazards, the Trafic is fitted (as standard or optional), with some truly innovative systems: like automatic headlights and wipers and doors that lock themselves when you’re on the move. To help you keep control in even the toughest conditions, Trafic uses specially developed technologies to counter difficult driving situations. These include ABS brakes coupled with EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution),Brake Assist, adjustable dynamic ESC (Electronic Stability Control) driving control with load adjustment, and speed limiter/cruise control Finally, to protect driver and passengers, the Trafic boasts a complete, all-round safety system – with front and side curtain airbags, plus height-adjustable three-point seatbelts with force limiters and pre-tensioners.

SAFETY

1. ESC (ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL)With ASR traction control and engine torque control. It detects the load level to adjust its activation point and give you the best possible corrections in direction.

2. ABS WITH BRAKE ASSISTAnti-lock braking system, with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist.

3. CRUISE CONTROLGives the driver full control over acceleration, slowing and braking for any speed below the one that is selected. In an emergency, where instant acceleration is needed, a ‘kick-down’ system overrides the cruise control.

4. R.A.I.D. (RENAULT ANTI INTRUDER DEVICE)Automatic door locking when driving – for increased safety, doors automatically lock at speeds over 5 mph (8 km/h).

5. FRONT FOG LIGHTSImprove visibility in fog or heavy rain.

This top quality roof rack is precision engineered, easily installed, and

modular for heavier loads. It is fi tted with a rear roller to facilitate loading.

2. WALKWAYThe walkway is used for better access

and easier loading and unloading of the roof rack. It takes the form of a fl at,

anti-skid strip, fastened to the roof rack.

3. INTEGRATED ROOF BARSEasily fi tted, these steel bars have

been intensively tested to guarantee performance and resistance to corrosion.

OCS monitors driving conditions that directly affect the quality of your engine oil, protecting your engine from excessive wear and possible bearing failure.
