E¤cient engines and driving pleasureBased on a combination of innovative technologies - some hot off the race circuit - the new Energy engines are revolutionising current standards. They mean that Renault Clio is breaking fuel efficiency and CO2 emission records, while making sure driving pleasure remains intact.

The 6-speed dual-clutch EDC automatic gearbox is available with the TCe 120 and dCi 90 engines. Upshifting is fast and smooth, with no jerking or loss in acceleration. Fuel consumption is comparable to that of a manual gearbox.

This new engine combines driving pleasure with remarkable fuel efficiency. This three-cylinder 898 cm3 90 hp turbo petrol engine delivers efficient acceleration at all speeds. The Energy TCe engine comes with the overboost function, offering a more dynamic drive and even better pick-up Equipped with Stop & Start, it offers reduced fuel consumption (in combined cycle) of 4.6 l/100 km. The CO2 emissions are 104 g/km*.

Energy dCi 90 Comfortable and efficient

As for diesel, the new Energy dCi 90 engine is quite simply the best! With fuel consumption in combined cycle of 3.2 l/100 km* and emissions of 82 g of

CO2/km* (optimised version**), Clio guarantees clear savings whether you are driving for business or for pleasure. And let's not forget the driving pleasure - with generous torque of 220 Nm available even at low engine speeds, you will enjoy a comfortable drive and lively pick-up every time.

TCe 120 Power and control

Powerful, lively and responsive, its 120 hp delivers 205 Nm of torque at 2,000  rpm. It is combined with the EDC double clutch 6-speed automatic gearbox for even more driving pleasure. It offers smooth gear changes, responsiveness and liveliness, with fuel consumption comparable to that of a manual gearbox.
