Removable Prosthodonticsfor the
General Practitioner
Today, when treatment planning comprehensive dental care, a practical approach is to rst meet the person, next the face, then the mouth and nally the teeth, i.e. Facially Generated Treatment Planning. Whether we are planning xed or remov-able restorative or prosthodontic care, Facially Generated Treatment Planning facilitates positive patient outcomes and realistic expectations. A useful method of learning these skills is to employ removable prosthodontic strategies and techniques to conceptualize, prototype and carry out patient care. For example, the setting-up and/or the readjusting of denture teeth can be quickly done allowing practitioners to “practice” in real time facial and intraoral esthetics, cosmetics, form and function, thereby aiding future treatment planning for either xed or removable cases. Are you currently providing removable prosthodontic care for your patients, most notably complete dentures? If so, are you comfortable with your current clinical level? If not, would you like to add removable prosthodontics to your routine oce procedures, especially for those seeking implant retained prosthetics? This eight part clinical/didactic Program will address your concerns and elevate your diagnostic, treatment and management acumen in removable prosthodontics. Certied Dental Technician support will be provided for each clinical session (to assist with tooth placements, waxing, etc.) as well as course lecture and technique handouts and texts.
