Battery Specification
1.Theremotecontrollercanbeusedtocontrolandoperatetheunit2.Theremote’ssignalcantransmitupto26ft.(8m)away.3.Anyobstructionsbetweenthesignaloftheremotecontrolandtheindoorunitcaninterfere,limitingthecapacityofthesignal.
4.Whenabuttonispressedontheremotecontrol,theindoorunitwillemita“beep”,whichindicatesthatthecommandhasbeenreceivedandtransmittedtotheindoorunit.
Tousetheremotecontrol,itisnecessarytoinstalltwo(R03/LR03x2)alkalineAAAbatteries.
Battery Replacement1.Batteriesshouldbereplacedwhenthereisnota“beep”heardfromtheindoorunitorthesignalindicatorlightdoesnotilluminatewhenbuttonsarepressedontheremoteorwhentheindoorunitdoesnotrespondtotheremotecontrolscommands.
2.Toreplacethebatteries:A.Removethecoverbypressingandslidingoff.B.Removetheoldbatteriesandinsertthenewbatteries,placingthe(+)and(-)endscorrectly.C.Reattachthecoverbyslidingitbackintoposition.
NOTE:Whenthebatteriesareremoved,theremotecontrollererasesallusersettings.Afterinsertingnewbatteries,theremotecontrollermustbereprogrammedforanyuserspecificsettings.
•Theairconditionerwillnotoperateifcurtains,doorsorothermaterialsblockthesignalfromtheremotecontroltotheunit.•Avoidspillinganyliquidintotheremote.•Donotexposetodirectsunlightorheat.•Iftheinfraredsignalreceiverontheindoorunitisexposedtodirectsunlight,theairconditionermaynotfunctionproperly.Usecurtainstopreventthesunlightfrominterferringwiththereceiver’ssignal.•Ifotherelectricalappliancessignalsreacttothesignalsentbytheremotecontrollerrelocatethese appliances.•Whenreplacingbatteries,donotuseoldbatteries•Ifyoudonotusetheremoteforaprolongedperiodoftime,removethebatteries.Otherwisetheymayleakanddamagetheremote

MODEEachtimethisbuttonispressed,amodeisselectedinasequenceofAUTO,COOL,DRY,HEAT*,andFANthen repeat.
*Heat mode is applicable to heat pump models only.
FANPresstoselectthefanspeedinfourintervals:
SLEEPPressthisbuttontoactivatetheSLEEPmode.Pressitagaintodeactivate.ThisfeaturecanonlybeselectedwhentheunitisinCOOL,HEAT*,orDrymode.Usethisfeatureforthemostcomfortabletemperaturecontrolwhileyousleepandyourbodytemperaturerises.*Heat mode is applicable to heat pump models only.
TuRBOActivatesordeactivatestheTurbofunction.PressthisbuttonforTurbofunction.Turbofunctionenablestheunittoreachthesettemperatureintheshortesttime.Inthecoolingmode,theunitwillblowcoldairatasuperhighfanspeed.Inheatingmode*,theunitwillblowhotairasuperhighfanspeed.*Heat mode is applicable to heat pump models only.
SELF CLEANThisfunctionhelpstokeeptheinsideoftheunitdryandpreventsmoldfromforming.Itisparticularlyusefulattheendoftheseasonwhentheunitwillnotbeinuseforalongperiodoftime.Presstheselfcleanbuttontoinitiatetheselfcleaningfunction.

•Pushingthisbuttonwillautomaticallyrevertbacktotheprevioussettingsincludingoperatingmode,settemperature,fanspeedlevelandsleepfeature(ifactivated)andtransmitthesignaltotheunit.
•Whenthisbuttonispressedformorethan2seconds,thesystemwillautomaticallyrestorethecurrentoperationsettingsincludingoperatingmode,settemperatures,fanspeedandsleepfeature(ifactivated).
TIMER ONPressthebuttontoinitiatetheauto-ontimersequence.Eachpresswillincreasetheauto-ontimersettingin30minutesincrements.Whenthesettimedisplays10,eachadditiontimethebuttonispressed,itwillincreasetheauto-ontimersettingin60minuteincrements.Tocanceltheauto-ontimerprogram,simplyadjusttheauto-ontimeto0.0.

TIMER OFFPressthebuttontoinitiatetheauto-offtimersequence.Eachpresswillincreasetheauto-timersettingin30minutesincrements.Whenthesettimedisplays10,eachadditionaltimethebuttonispresseditwillincreasetheauto-timersettingin60minuteincrements.Tocanceltheauto-timerprogram,simplyadjusttheauto-offtimerto0.0.
DIRECTPressthisbuttontodirecttheairflowbyselectingthepositionofthelouverontheunit.Eachtimethebuttonispressedthelouverwillopen/closeby6°increments. NOTE: If the louver moves in a position that could affect the cooling or heating (heat pump models only) of the air conditioner, the unit will alter the direction of the louver angle automatically.
SWINGPressthisbuttontostart/stoptheautoswingfeature,whichthelouveroscillatesupanddown. NOTE: If the louver oscillates or moves in a position that could affect heating (heat pump models only) or cooling of the air conditioner, the unit will automatically adjust the louver position.
FOLLOW ME PushthisbuttontoinitiatetheFollowMemode.Infollowmemode,thetemperaturesensorbuiltintotheremotecontrolsensestheroomtemperatureinplaceofthesensorinsidetheindoorunit.Thisallowstheremotecontroltocontrolthetemperatureoftheroomwhereitispresent.Thisfeaturehelpspreventtemperaturestratification.Wheninfollowmemode,theremotecontroldisplaywillshowtheactualroomtemperatureitsenses.
LEDDisables/Activatestheindoor\Display.Whenpushingthebutton,theindoorscreeniscleared,pressitagaintoturnonthelightofthedisplay.

AuTO OPERATION1.PresstheMODEbuttontoselectAuto.
2.PresstheUP/DOWNbuttontosetthedesiredtemperature.Thetemperaturecanbesetwithinarangeof62°F~86°Fin1°Fincrements.
• InAutomode,theunitwillautomaticallyselectCool,FanorHeat*modesbesensingthedifferencebetweentheactualambientroomtemperatureandthesettemperatureontheremotecontroller.
• IntheAutomode,youcannotchargethefanspeed.Itisbeingautomaticallycontrolled.
COOLING/HEATING/FAN OPERATIONIfAutomodeisuncomfortable,youcanmanuallyoverridethesettingbyputtingtheunitinCOOL,HEAT*,orFAN**ONLYmode.
1.PresstheMODEbuttontoselectCOOL,HEAT*(pump)orFAN**mode.
2.PressthetempUP/DOWNbuttontosetthedesiredtemperature.Thetemperaturecanbesetwithinarangeof62°F~86°Fin1°Fincrements.
3.PresstheFANbuttontoselectthefanspeedinfoursteps-Auto,Low,Med,orHigh.
NOTE * Heat mode is applicable to heat pump models only. ** In the FAN mode, the set temperature is not displayed on the remote controller and you are not able to control the room temperature either. In this case, only the fan speed can be changed.

DRY OPERATIONTheDRYmodewillautomaticallyselecttheamountofdehumidificationbasedonthedifferencebetweenthesettemperatureandactualroomtemperature.Thefanspeedisautomaticallysettolow.
1.PresstheMODEbuttontoselectDRYmode.
2.PresstheUP/DOWNbuttonstosetthedesiredtemperature.Thetemperaturecanbesetwithinarangeof62°F~86°Fin1°Fincrements.
NOTE• In the Dry mode, you can not change the fan speed. It
is ceing automatically controlled.• Due to the difference between the set temperature
and the actual room temperature, the unit will automatically switch between COOL and FAN only mode while in DRY mode.
ADJuSTING AIR FLOW DIRECTIONUsetheSWINGorDIRECTbuttontoadjustthedesiredairflowdirection.
1.WhentheDIRECTbuttonispushedthehorizontallouverchangesin6°degreeangleincrements.
2.WhentheSWINGbuttonispushedthelouveroscillates.
NOTE When the louver oscillates or moves in a position that could affect the cooling or heating (heat pump models only) of the air conditioner, the unit will automatically change the louver direction.

1.PresstheTIMERONbutton.TheremotecontrollershowTIMERON,thelastAuto-onsettimeandthe“H”iconwillbeshownontheLCDdisplay.NowitisreadytoresettheAuto-ontimetoSTARToperation.
2.PushtheTIMERONbuttonagaintosetdesiredAuto-ontime.Eachtimeyoupressthebutton,thetimeincreasesbyhalfanhourbetween0and10hoursandbyonehourbetween10and24hours.
3.AftersettingtheTIMERON,therewillbeaoneseconddelaybeforetheremotecontrollertransmitsthesignaltotheairconditioner.Then,afterapproximatelyanother2seconds,the“H”iconwilldisappearandthesettemperaturewillre-appearontheLCDdisplay.
TO SET THE AuTO-OFF TIME1.PressTIMEROFFbutton.TheremotecontrollershowTIMEROFF,thelastAuto-offsettingtimeandthe“H”iconwillbeshownontheLCDdisplayarea.NowitisreadytoresettheLCDdisplayarea.NowitisreadytoresettheAuto-offtimetostoptheoperation.
2.PushtheTIMEROFFbuttonagaintosetdesiredAuto-offtime.Eachtimeyoupressthebutton,thetimeincreasesbyhalfanhourbetween0and10hoursandbyonehourbetween10and24hours.

SLEEP FuNCTIONThesleepfunctionenablestheunittoautomaticallychangethetemperatureby2°Fperhourforthefirsttwohours,thenwillremainsteadyforthenext5hours,afterthattheunitwillstopoperating.SLEEPmodecreatescomfortabletemperaturesandsavesenergy.
1.WhentheSLEEPmodeisselectedwhileinCOOLmode,thetemperatureincreasestocreatethemostuncomfortableconditionswhileyourbodytemperatureriseswhenyousleep.WhenSLEEPisselectedwhileinHEAT*mode,thetemperaturedeceasestoensureyoudon’tgettoohotwhileyourbodytemperatureriseswhenyousleep.
NOTE The SLEEP function is only selectable when the unit is in COOL, HEAT* or AUTO modes.* Heat mode is applicable to heat pump models only.
