Congratulations to our

This week’s theme is:
“Doing Your Best”
Interschool Athletics Division Athletic Sports took place on Monday with eleven children from Nathalia Primary School heading over to Shepparton to compete. I was at the sports and all of the children acquitted themselves well and were great representatives of the school. Five children will go on to Albury to represent the school at the next level on Friday. They are Kaiya Cornell (1500m), Maizie Hawks (shot-put and discus), Connor Peachey (200m), Cody Power (1500m and 800m) and Georgia Hansford (1500m). Best of luck to these children at the Regional Championships.
Things that Make Us Feel Good The children are completing an activity based on “Act, Belong, Commit” where they identify things they enjoy doing and that make them feel good. This work will be displayed as a mural in the office. This aligns with the principles of School Wide Positive Behaviours and the Friendly Kids programs.
First Aid The school is fortunate to have basic first aid programs presented to each grade by Jacqui Brunsdon from the Nathalia Hospital. These will occur in the next fortnight.
School Performance We have a school performance next Tuesday where we will be joined by the children from Katunga PS. More
information about this performance appears on the following page.
Pre-School Visit
Next Wednesday we have the pre-schools in the area visiting us for the morning. The children will be at the
school from 9.00—11.00am and they will participate in a variety of organised activities. This pre-school visit is
open to all pre-school children and is in addition to the school’s transition program which is only available to our
own incoming Prep children.
Grade 5—6 Kanga Cricket Tournament
Next Thursday we have interschool Kanga Cricket where three teams will be representing Nathalia Primary
School. The games will be played at the Nathalia Recreation Reserve from 10.00am.
Thanks, Chris McCallum—Principal

New School Uniform School Council has approved the transition to a new school uniform from the start of 2016. The new uniform consists of navy blue and gold shirts matched with navy blue shorts, skorts and track pants. There will also be a matching navy blue and gold half zip top and hat. Shoes will be black lace up or sandals. All items of uniform will be sold through the local retailer Casual Step in Nathalia. Every effort has been made to keep the cost of the new uniform affordable to families and we appreciate the cooperation of Casual Step in this regard. There will of course be a transition period in 2016 between the old uniform and the new. The new uniform will be available for purchase before the end of the school year ready for the start of 2016. School Council is in the process of revising the existing School Uniform Policy and this will be distributed to families after the next meeting of Council. Details regarding prices and lay-by options will also be forthcoming. It is important to note that the wearing of school uniform will be compulsory and the uniform will only be available for sale through Casual Step. Variations on the uniform such as different shorts or trousers will not acceptable. The new uniform looks really smart and it marks an exciting time for our school.
