X was a project started in the early 1970s by the Indian Space Research Organisation to develop the technology needed to launch satellites. The project was headed by APJ Abdul Kalam.

_____________(Pokhran-II) was the series of five nuclear bomb test explosions conducted by India at the Indian Army's Pokhran Test Range in May 1998 of which APJ Abdul Kalam was project chief co-ordinator. It was the second Indian nuclear test; the first test, code-named Smiling Buddha, was conducted in May 1974. More recently, the operation as a whole has come to be known as Pokhran II, and the 1974 explosion as Pokhran-I.

Kalam's life also inspired X, a 2011 Hindi film directed by Nila Madhab Panda.
The film showcases a poor Rajasthani boy, who is inspired by the life of the former President of India, APJ Abdul Kalam. It's Kalam's life which fuels a strong desire to learn in the young boy.
