Our product range includes a full line of graded stone in various sizes, as well as manufactured sand, shot rock, gravel, road base, rail ballast and fill materials. We can also readily supply aggregate materials for projects requiring specialised aggregate performance characteristics.

All products are backed by a rigorous quality assurance process and meet all relevant Australian Standards for quarry products.

From two modern precast factories in Sydney, we offer a product range that includes architectural precast, hollowcore flooring and walling, structural grey panels, beams and columns, for both domestic and commercial premises.

Our priority is to offer total precast solutions to our customers and we have built our reputation by providing a quality assured manufacturing process, supported by smart engineering advice and quick installation by our experienced crew.

We work regularly with architects, engineers and specifiers and have supplied precast materials for some of Australia’s most prominent projects.

Experts in precast

Getting it out of the ground is only a part of what we do. The next and often most critical element of our order fulfilment process is the actual delivery of aggregates, concrete and precast concrete products.

The hub of this activity is our state-of-the-art national customer service centre in Brisbane. Here, a team of nearly 100 order takers, schedulers and support staff use the latest computer technology to orchestrate upwards of seventy thousand deliveries a month.

As well as our fleet of concrete agitators and aggregate tippers, our logistics network also features cement tankers, a train and heavy-duty machinery including dump trucks, front-end loaders and face shovels.

We even have a ship, the MV Claudia 1 which is often seen in Sydney Harbour and capable of transporting up to 3,500 tonnes of raw materials per trip.

First-class logistics

We are committed to being a technology leader and aim to sell innovative construction materials that offer value to our customers.

This is achieved through a network of NATA-certified research laboratories containing highly qualified technical teams and state-of-the-art equipment.

All Hanson products are tested to guarantee their performance capabilities and to ensure they meet relevant Australian standards.

Our comprehensive materials testing service includes field testing, materials evaluation, standard tests for compressive and flexural strength and a range of specialised tests like those for coring and drying shrinkage.

Hanson’s technical team also works closely with customers either onsite or in the laboratory, developing custom mix-designs for unique building applications.

Innovation and assurance

Hanson demonstrates a comprehensive, end-to-end approach to sustainability, involving all aspects of our business from land management to excavation, manufacturing and logistics. All of our operations meet high energy-efficiency standards and are working towards ambitious water, waste and fuel reduction targets. For our quarries, rehabilitation is a major focus and we work closely with horticulturalists to rehabilitate local ecosystems. Hanson is an active member of the Federal Government’s National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER) Program and Energy Efficiency Opportunities Program. The safety of our employees and the community is also an utmost priority. Our national goal is for ‘Zero Harm’ which is based on the premise that there is no job we undertake that is so important, we cannot take the time to find a safe way to do it. By ensuring ownership of safety issues at a site level and through a network of Health and Safety Committees, we have developed a strong safety culture and maintained an ongoing improvement trend across all major indicators.
