1 Overview

1.1 Introduction

is the icon of the M-Meeting conference software client.

You can use the client to perform the following operations:

Conference scheduling and management Voice, data, or HD video conference attendance Chatting and discussion during conferences Document sharing during conferences Conference control

The M-Meeting conference software client supports android OS 3.2 or later and iOS 4.0 or later.

1.2 FeaturesThe M-Meeting conference software client has the following features:

Phone book: Enables you to manage server contacts and synchronize local contacts to the server easily and quickly.

Voice conference: Enables you to schedule and attend high-quality voice conferences. Voice + video conference: Enables you to schedule and attend high-quality voice + video

conferences. Voice + data conference: Enables you to schedule and attend high-quality voice

conferences, chat and discuss with other participants, and share documents. Voice + data + video conference: Enables you to schedule and attend high-quality voice

+ data + video conferences, chat and discuss with other participants, and share documents.

Security and low delay: All conferences feature high security and reliability and low delay.

1.4 Downloading and Installing M-Meeting Conference Software Client

The M-Meeting conference software client supports the Android OS and iOS. Table 1-1 describes the mapping between the pad model and the OS version.

2 Login

You can log in to the M-Meeting conference software client in any of the following ways:

User name + Password Conference ID + Password + personal identification number (PIN)

Figure 2-1 shows the login interface when you use the user name and password to log in to the client.

You can manually enter the user name, or select a user name from the User Name drop-down list box.

You can select Remember to save the password so that you do not need to enter the password at the next login.

After you enter the user name and password, tap Login to open the main interface.

You can tap Setting on the login interface to configure login-related parameters, such as nickname, language, and address and port number of the conference server. In most cases, you do not need to modify the conference server address and port.

Figure 2-2 shows the Setting interface.

Figure 2-3 shows the conference attendance interface when you use the conference ID, password, and PIN to log in to the client.

You can open the conference attendance interface in any of the following ways:

Tap Attend Conference on the login interface. Press and hold the screen and slide your finger upward.

3 Conference Management

3.1 Attending a ConferenceYou can attend a conference in any of the following ways:

Tap Join for the target conference in My Conference area, as shown in Figure 3-1.

Tap in the upper right corner of the My Conference area, enter the conference ID, password, and PIN in the Attend Conference dialog box, and tap Confirm.

Figure 3-2 shows the Attend Conference dialog box.

3.2 Scheduling a ConferenceTo schedule a conference, perform the following steps:

Step 1 Tap in the upper right corner of the My Conference area, as shown in Figure 3-1.

The Schedule Conference interface is displayed, as shown in Figure 3-2.

Step 2 Specify Template and Subject.

Step 3 Specify the conference type.

To schedule an instant conference, set Immediate to ON, as shown in Figure 3-1.

To schedule a future conference, set Immediate to OFF, as shown in Figure 3-2.

Step 4 Specify Duration and Participants.

To schedule a feature conference, you also need to specify Time.

Step 5 Specify the conference mode, as shown in Figure 3-1.

Step 6 Select participants.

You can select participants in any of the following ways:

Tap , select the participants in the Invite dialog box, and tap Confirm to return to the Schedule Conference interface, as shown in Figure 3-1.

Tap the target participants in the Contact area, as shown in Figure 3-2.

Step 7 (Optional): Tap Advanced Settings to specify the advanced parameters.

The interface in Figure 3-1 is displayed.

You can perform the following operations:

Specify the notification type (Email or/and SMS). Enable the Auto Invite function. Configure the chairperson password and the guest password.

Step 8 (Optional): Tap Save as Template if you want to use the settings to create a conference template.

Step 9 Click in the upper right corner of the Schedule Conference interface.

3.3 Modifying or Canceling a ConferenceYou can modify or cancel a future conference. To achieve it, tap the target conference and then tap Edit or Cancel, as shown in Figure 3-1.

3.4 Viewing the CalendarYou can press and hold the screen and slide your finger from left to right to open the calendar. The calendar displays the conference schedule as follows:

If a conference is held on the current day, the date of this day is highlighted. If a conference is held on a feature day, the date of that day is dimmed.

3.5 Viewing Ended ConferencesYou can tap at the bottom of the My Conference area to view ended conferences. The Ended Conference interface is displayed, as shown in Figure 3-1.

If you want to re-schedule a conference, tap the target conference and then tap , as shown in Figure 3-2.

3.6 Creating, Modifying, or Canceling a Conference Template

For details about how to create a conference template, see step 8 in section 3.2 "3.2 Scheduling a Conference."

To modify or delete a conference template, perform the following steps:

Step 1 Tap in the upper left corner of the My Conference area to query conference templates, as shown in Figure 3-1.

Step 2 Tap the target template and then tap Edit or Delete, as shown in Figure 3-1.

4 Contact Management

Contacts in the contact list include local contacts and server contacts.

4.1 Viewing Contact DetailsTo view details about a contact, tap the contact in the Contact area The contact details are displayed, as shown in Figure 4-1.

4.2 Grouping Contacts

By default, all contacts are in the same group. You can tap in the upper right corner of the Contact area to create new groups to manage contacts. The Add Group dialog box is displayed, as shown in Figure 4-1.

When adding a contact to a group, you can search for the contact or select the contact, as shown in Figure 4-1.

Names of the selected contacts will be displayed in the group member list, as

shown in Figure 4-1.

4.3 Adding ContactsTo add a contact to the server, tap in the upper left corner of the Contact area. The Add Contact dialog box is displayed, as shown in Figure 4-1.

If the local contacts are updated, press and hold the screen in the Contact area and slide your finger downward to refresh the contact list.

5 Conference Interface

5.1 Voice + Video Conference InterfaceFigure 5-1 shows the voice + video conference interface.

You can tap , , and to view the tab pages for the participant list, chatting and discussion, and conference control respectively.

You can perform the following operations on the tab page:

Tap to disable the microphone.

Tap to disable the voice receiver.

Tap to release a participant.

Tap to invite a participant to the conference.

Tap to delete a participant.

Tap to close voices.

5.3 Video Tab PageDuring a video conference, you can close videos, zoom out or zoom out videos, and switch videos. The menu bar is displayed after you tap the video, as shown in Figure 5-1.

5.4 Document SharingDuring a data conference, you can view the shared document, as shown in Figure 5-1.

NOTE You can press and hold the screen and slide your finger upward and downward to flick through the

shared document. When the tap the screen, the Back and Async buttons will be displayed. You can tap Async to

switch to the Sync mode.

5.5 Chat Tab PageDuring a data conference, you can tap to join chatting and discussion. Figure 5-1 shows the Chat tab page.

5.6 Control Tab PageYou can tap to view conference information. On the Control tab page, you can extend, lock, exit, and close the conference, as shown in Figure 5-1.

6 FAQs

6.1 Login and Logout6.1.1 An Error Message Is Displayed During LoginSymptom

One of the following messages is displayed during login:

Network unavailable. Unknown error. Connection time out.

SolutionTo solve the problem, perform the following steps:

Step 1 Check whether the network is normal.

Yes: Go to Step 3. No: Rectify the network fault.

Step 2 Check whether the problem is solved.

Yes: No further action is required. No: Go to Step 3.

Step 3 Check whether parameters, such as Address and Port for the conference server, on the Setting interface are correctly configured.

Yes: Contact the customer service center. No: Modify the incorrect parameter configurations.


Yes: No further action is required. No: Contact the customer service center.

6.1.2 Logging In to the M-Meeting Conference Software Client FailedSymptom

We can use a pad to access the office website (http://demo-imeeting.huawei.com), but cannot log in to the M-Meeting conference software client.


Step 1 Open the browser on the pad and check whether we can access the address of the office website that contains the port number.

Yes: Contact the customer service center. No: Go to Step 2.

Step 2 Check whether Port is set to 80 on the Setting interface.

Yes: Contact the customer service center. No: set Port to 80.

6.1.3 Client Automatic Login Frequently HappensSymptom

Automatic login to the M-Meeting conference software client frequently happens. We cannot modify the configuration or use another account to log in to the client.

SolutionTo solve the problem, tap Setting in the upper left corner of the My Conference area and then tap Logout. If the problem persists, contact the customer service center.

NOTELogout is used to change the account, and Quit is used to exit the M-Meeting conference software client.

6.2 Conference Attendance and Control6.2.1 An Error Message Is Displayed During Conference AttendanceSymptom

When we attend a conference by using the conference ID, password, and PIN, "Auto allocate account failed, please enter setting page to set media server parameter manually." is displayed. When we tap Join to attend a conference in the My Conference area, "Connection time out." is displayed.


Step 1 Check whether Auto Parameter on the Setting interface is set to OFF.

Yes: Go to Step 2. No: Set Auto Parameter to OFF.


Yes: No further action is required. No: Go to Step 3.

Step 3 Check whether the parameters of the conference server are correctly configured.

Yes: Contact the customer service center. No: Modify the incorrect parameter configurations.

NOTEIn normal cases, the value of Account does not contain @, but the value of Authentication contains @. The value of these parameters on the Setting interface is displayed when you move the cursor to the target text box.

6.2.2 M-Meeting Conference Software Client Unexpectedly ExitsSymptom

When we are in a conference or exit a conference, the M-Meeting conference software client unexpectedly exits. When we use the log tool (for example, catlog) to view rug logs of the client, the logs contain VM aborting.

SolutionCheck whether the client supports the OS version.

6.3 Voice and VideoSymptom

The video is not good and smooth.

SolutionThe video quality depends on the network speed and stability. You are advised to use the client in better network environment.

6.3.2 Automatically Open VideoSymptom

When entering the video conferencing, the default into the audio conference, does not automatically open the video.

SolutionTurn on the switch “Automatic Video” in the setting page.

6.4 OthersQuestion

How do we change the login password?

SolutionTo change the login password, perform the following steps:

Step 1 Log in to the M-Meeting conference client.

Step 2 Tap Setting.

Step 3 On the Setting interface, tap Change next to Login Password.

Step 4 Enter the new password, confirm it, and tap Confirm.
