What is Relay For Life?
-American Cancer Society’s signature activity-offers everyone in a community the opportunity
to participate in the fight against cancer-teams of people camp out on Busch Field and
take turns walking or running around a path-teams are asked to have a representative on
the path at all times during the event-an overnight event
What happens at Relay For Life?
CELEBRATE the lives of those who have battled cancer. The strength of survivors inspires others to continue to fight.
REMEMBER loved ones lost to the disease. The Luminaria Ceremony helps us to share experiences, grieve, and find healing.
FIGHT BACK to put an end to the disease that has touched us all.
WHY DO YOU RELAY?
Why We Relay
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated.
The funds raised at Relay saves lives by funding cutting-edge cancer research, early detection and prevention education, advocacy efforts, and life-affirming patient services.
With your help, ACS continues to save lives, help those battling cancer, and empower all to fight back against the disease.
