18 November 2019 Issue 18 Dear parents and carers,
Principal for a Day Recently I had the pleasure of sharing a few days with students as ‘Principals for the Day.’ As a part of their writing program, Stage 1 students wrote a persuasive letter to me, explaining why they would be a good principal. Class teachers selected one student from each class who tried particularly hard and/or produced a quality piece of writing to be the principal for the day. These budding young leaders helped me with the daily tasks of running the school. I am confident the future is in good hands with young leaders such as these students.
Relay for Life Last weekend, our incredibly organised and passionate students, Max, Zahara, Yolance, Dylan, Valantina and Carrisa participated in the Relay for Life. These students participated in the event to help raise funds for cancer research. It is heart-warming to know our students understand the importance of kindness and giving. I am extreme-ly proud of them for their efforts. Thank you to the teachers who made this possible, taking shifts over the 24 hour period to supervise the students.
