Solar panel consists of a glass coating for protecting solar cells.
As these are installed in open environment, get more dirty.
Pollution, leaves and even bird droppings increase need of
maintenance & cleanliness of panels.
The more dirt on the surface – the lower amount of electricity they will
produce as dirt hinders to reach sunlight to solar cells.
Major factor of dirt affects the efficiency of solar panels is one of the
biggest challenge.
Experts agree that dirty solar panels don't produce as much power as
clean panels with the loss as high as 25% to 30%.

Solar panel conversion efficiency, typically in the 20 percent range, is reduced by dust, grime, pollen, and other particulates that accumulate on the solar panel, especially in Urban Areas.
Cleaning dirty panels with commercial detergents can be time-consuming, costly, hazardous to the environment, or even corrode the solar panel frame.
Ideally solar panels should be cleaned every few weeks to maintain peak efficiency, which is especially hard to do for large solar-panel arrays.

Nano-coating with hydrophilic and self-cleaning
properties for solar thermal panels.
On light exposure coating produces oxygen
radicals on the surface. The activated oxygen
decomposes organic molecules and dirt particles
that get in touch with the surface. This way dirt
particles & other impurities get destroy.
Decomposed dirt particles are washed away by the
rain. Due to a strong reduction of undesirable
reflections on the glass surface the efficiency of
the solar module will be improved.
Super-hydrophilicity instead of building up
annoying droplets, distributed water as a very thin
film on the surface. This promotes evaporation so
that the coated surfaces dry very quickly again.

Rain and condensation settle in the micro depressions present in the glass
surface, where they attract particulate matter. The water quickly
evaporates, leaving a dirty residue behind that is difficult to remove.
The Nano polymers present in the formula penetrate deep into microscopic
craters & fissures present on the smooth surfaces, creating a smooth glass
surface that cannot hold water & dirt.
As the water is repelled by the treated surface it will also pick up and carry
