REIL is Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Ltd. It is a publicsector unit and it has a prominent place amongst theelectronics industry of Rajasthan. It was established in 1981.It is situated at the Kanakpura industrial area about 12 Kmfrom Jaipur city. REIL has joint venture between theGovernment of India & the Government of Rajasthan,through their respective institutions. Government of Indiaand Government of Rajasthan holds51% and 49 % share inthis company respectively.

Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL), as acommercial organization has been in operation for the past27 years with a proven track record of profitableperformance, professional management and service to therural masses through electronic products for the dairy/Milkcooperatives and renewable energy sectors. REIL commencedits foray in the Dairy sector with the manufacture ofElectronic Milk Testers under the technology developedoverseas by Foss, Denmark. The company entered the area ofRenewable Energy through Solar Photo Voltaic (SPV)technology, in the year 1985. the company started itsoperations with manufacture of SPVPREFACE

Solar Photo Voltaic (SPV)Modules

Connected assembly of solar cells.

Output of 0.5 - 0.6 volt DC.

Output Current depends on Area

of the cell and the amount of Light

falling.

So efficiency is determined by the

area of a module.

Composed of ultra-thin layer of N type silicon on top of a thicker

layer of P type silicon.

Process of making terminals of a bare cell by soldering

copper strips to the bus bar.

Electronic Milk Tester

Principle :-

EMT is a simple, economical but accurate milk fat testing instrument.It measures the fat content instantaneously on a digital read out. It does notinvolve the use of corrosive chemicals.Electron milk tester is based on thephotometric measurement of light scattered by the milk sample. The lightis scattered by the fat globules, acting as small prism.

CONCLUSION

• The summer training in REIL played an important role todevelop myself. It was a golden opportunity for me to get thepractical knowledge and hands-on experience from the thingsabout which I had theoretical knowledge from the coursecurriculum.

• As the organization follows the ISO 9001 standards, everything is done in a particular way following the documents. In addition I gained knowledge about the working principle of solar cells and the various applications in which they are used.
