Romachair Hospital commodes are available in either an anti microbial plastic coated steel finish or in stainless steel, with options of either fixed or detach-able armrests on models 4730 and 4740. With such a high weight limit on the 4750 Bariatric version, detachable arms are not available.

All of our Stainless Steel (SS) Romachairs are hygienically cleaned after manufacture by a process known as Electro Chemical Polishing and Passiva-tion. This process is extensively used throughout the pharmaceutical and medical industry. It renders the surface of the stainless steel up to 30 times more corrosive resistant than untreated stainless steel.

The three weight ranges we provide cater for patients weighing up to 318 Kilos (50 Stone).

Standard RomachairThe 4730 Series covers patients up to 190 Kilos (30 Stone).

It is essential that when ordering you identify the correct type of pan required with the commode chair so that we manufacture and supply the correct type.

With hospitals having different toilet cisterns it meant that two commode versions were needed, one for toilets with external cisterns and another with a straight backrest for those toilets with concealed (built-in) cisterns. Our range of Romachair commodes satisfies this requirement

Pan racks, to take most types of hospital bed pans, can be supplied whether it is the disposable pulp type or any other types currently in use (please specify at the time of ordering).

There is no standard specification for bed pans in the UK. Many hospitals use the disposable pulp version but there are several other types in daily use. We mention below the majority of those now in use.
