Texas 16 hours every two years for active licensees, if licensee is 65 or older or disabled active must do 10 hours of CE, inactive licensees that are under age 65 must do the six mandatory hours that consist of 2 hours of funeral service ethics, 2 hours of mortuary law updates, 2 hours of vital statistics, those 65 or older and inactive or disabled inactive do no CE. All licensees that are required to have continuing education must do the six mandatory hour mentioned above.
