Thisindicatesthepressurerangeinproximitytothesetpressure,withinwhichregulationisactive.Thedeadbandis+and-thesetvalue. Itisadvisabletoenterlowvalues,10or15mbar,onlyifhighregulationaccuracyisrequired.Highaccuracyinvolvesmoreworkforthesolenoid valves.

2.2.3 FULL SCALE

Thisindicatesthemaximumpresetpressure.TheanalogcommandisdividedovertheFullScale.Theanalogoutputsignalindicatesthatthepreset pressureis0-10Vfor0-10bar.

For optimal regulation, the feed pressure must be FS + 1 bar.

2.2.4 MINIMUM PRESSURE

Indicatestheminimumregulatedpressurewithset0V(4mA).Thevaluecanbesetbetween0and50%oftheFullScaleset.Thereferencesetis dividedbetweentheMinimumPressurevalueandtheFullScalevalue.

The minimum value which can be set with Keyboard Set is the Minimum Pressure value. 2.2.5 RS232

5.1 PNEUMATIC CONNECTION

Pneumaticconnectionisviathethreadedholesinthebody. Itisimportantfortheregulatorpressurenottoexceed11barandthecompressedairtobefilteredat10µmanddried,topreventimpuritiesor excessivecondensatefromcausingamalfunction. Thesupplypressuremustalwaysbehigherthanthepresetpressure. Theregulatorpressuremustbeatleast1barhigherthanthefullscalevalue. Ifasilencerismountedontheoutlet,theflowratesandresponsetimesmayvary.Checkthesilencerperiodicallyforcloggingandreplaceifnecessary.

5.2 ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

ThisisbymeansofM12femalecircular8-pinconnector(to be ordered separately). Refertothewiringdiagrambelow. Wrong connections may permantenly damage the regulator.

5.3 OPERATING PRINCIPLE

Usingasoftwarealgorythm,thecontrolcircuitcomparestheinputsignalwiththeoutputpressuremeasuredbythepressuresensor.Whenthereisachange,itactivatestheinletandoutletsolenoidvalvestore-establishanequilibrium.Thisgivesanoutputpressurethatisproportionaltotheinputsignal.

N.B.: removing the power supply, the outlet pressure doesn’t get discharged
