PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS

IN ORDER TO DETERMINE CLUBS AND LEAGUE TEAMS,

REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE November 23, 2016 AT 5:30PM

There is an online registration cap. Once online registration is full, please call (310) 458-8540 or

visit our Youth Office at Reed Park (1133 7th Street, Santa Monica 90403) for any available walk-in

spots. Walk in registration begins at 8:30 AM on October 26, 2016 at the CREST Youth Office

located at Reed Park. Registration with payment is required for participation.

Basketball League (6th grade): Girls and boys will have their own separate leagues. Two practices per week on

Tuesdays and Thursdays and a weekly game on Saturdays. This league plays with a 20:00 minute per half running clock

throughout the game. Practices are structured to introduce participants to sportsmanship, rules, and basic skills of

basketball, in preparation for league games. Some games may be held during the week to accommodate all teams. A

post-season playoff tournament will be held at the conclusion of the regular season. Mandatory evaluations will be

held at the first practice.

Basketball League (7 & 8th grade): Girls and boys will have their own separate leagues. Two practices per

week on Wednesdays and Fridays and a weekly game on Saturdays. This league plays with a 20:00 minute per half

running clock throughout the game. Practices are structured to introduce participants to sportsmanship, rules, and

basic skills of basketball, in preparation for league games. Some games may be held during the week to accommodate

all teams. A post-season playoff tournament will be held at the conclusion of the regular season. Mandatory

evaluations will be held at the first practice.

EARLY DISMISSAL: Early dismissal days vary per school. Please check with your child’s coach for any adjustments

to the regular practice or training schedule.

LOCATIONS:

Practices: All practices will be held in the gym or on the outdoor courts for each school; John Adams,

Lincoln, and SMASH.

Games: Memorial Park gym, Lincoln Middle School gym and John Adams Middle School gym. Game

schedules will be available by December 21, 2016.
