On behalf of the Local Organising Committeeof the Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association (APOA) Sports Meeting 2019 incorporating Orthopaedic Research, it is my pleasure to invite you to the APOA Sports Meeting 2019 which will be held in the beautiful city of Kuala Lumpur.

This meeting will cover both shoulder and knee. The focus for the shoulder sessions will

be on how to get our older population funtional. The focus for the knee sessions will be the latest in ligaments and cartilage surgery.

This will be a unique meeting which will involve more of discussions, debates, cadaveric demonstrations and live surgeries with the main goal of exchanging ideas and pratical experiences. There will be a concerted effort by the scientific committee to come up with a programme that moves away from the tedium of lectures to more pratical points in shoulder and knee sugreries and diseases.

You will gain practical information that will enhance your practice. Learn from experts that are practicing clinicians. As a delegate, comeand meet directly with the line-up of experts during the breaks and at Meet The Expert sessions. There will be break-out sessions to provide plenty of opportunities for all delegates to have direct access to our panel of experts.

We will also provide plenty of opportunities for our delegates to present their research and papers in our free paper sessions. In a bid

to encourage young trainees and researchers to present at an Asia Pacific platform, top abstracts will receive free registration. More details will be shared as the planning progresses.

Malaysia is a well-developed, safe, and, easily accessible destinationin the heart of the Asia-Pacific region. Its multi-ethnic and multi-lingual population makes it a very comfortable place to visit. It is one of the best value-for-money conference destinations in the world. So, why travel further and pay more when you will get to meet many international experts right here in Asia between the 3rd to 6th April 2019.

Together with my organising and scientific committee, we would liketo invite you to join us at our meeting and it is our privilege to welcome you to Hilton Kuala Lumpur Sentral, Malaysia from the 3rd to 6th April 2019.

Warm Regards,

Dr Charanjeet SinghOrganising ChairmanAPOA Sports Meeting 2019Incorporating Orthopaedic Research
