Where is it?

Camping option

No reservations are needed to camp at Turkey Run StatePark in March. It is on a walk-in basis. If there is no attendantat the camping gate go in and pick your site. A patrol personwill come around and collect your fee. Sunday - Wednesdayis $19 + tax and Thursday - Saturday $26 + tax per night.

Offsite optionsWhere can I st ay? In the campground, in the inn, or in a cabin.

In the inn or cabin optionThe reservation deadline to reserve a room in the inn or a cabinbefore they are opened to the general public is February 23.

Reservations can only be made by phone -Call 1-877-563-4371, the group code is 0323NI.

To view room options, visit www.indianainns.com, click on TurkeyRun Inn, and then click on lodging. Room and cabin fees rangefrom $75.99 to $141.99 a night. You will be charged for your firstnight when the reservation is made.

Parke County has a variety of housing options to suit everybudget and desired experience. Camp under the stars or enjoythe home-like feeling of a bed & breakfast or experience aneffortless stay at an inn or motel.

Tour the old jail (now aninn) and enjoy lunch and winetasting in its dungeon, theDrunk Tank Winery. Explore an amazing interpretivecenter and a park bringing theworld’s second longest canal tolife in Delphi. Following lunch atthe Wabash & Erie CanalInterpretive Center, we willjourney to Indiana’s newest statepark, Prophetstown, where thejuncture of two rivers, theWabash and Tippecanoe,fostered thriving and diverse

native cultures. Finally, we will trace the pathways of culturalconflict at the Tippecanoe Battlefield, a national historicallandmark preserving the site of the Battle of Tippecanoe; aprelude to the war of 1812.

Join us on a trip toexplore the rich historyof Crawfordsville,Indiana. Home of theoldest Carnegie Libraryin Indiana, the historicstructure now houses amuseum rich with thestory of the area’sindustrial history, andthe people and places that made Crawfordsville what it is today.We will also tour the General Lew Wallace Studio and Museum,and learn about this fascinating man and his rich gift to the worldof literature. See why his studio is often called the most unique“man-cave” ever! In addition, we will tour one of the onlyoperating rotary jails in the world. That’s right – a jail thatactually spins. Visit the unique “escape proof” jail and learn if itactually worked, and why it was ultimately shut down.

Unexpected discoveries await you on this trek to the Hoosiercapital to visit two Indianapolis gems: the Indiana Medical HistoryMuseum and the Indiana State Museum. Our trip begins with aguided tour of the Medical History Museum, the oldest survivingpathology facility in the nation, where research methods todiscover the causes of mental illness were innovated. Next, alunch on your own will be followed by an opportunity to explorethree levels of human and natural history at our State Museum.You will be able to check out the museum’s wonders at your ownpace; even the building’s limestone exterior provides aninterpretive experience!Admission to both of these museums is included in your mobileworkshop fee. However, If you wish to visit the Eiteljorg Museumof American Indians and Western Art, located next door to theState Museum, you may choose to do so for an additional $12fee.

Fly the Friendly Skies and Hike the

Hallowed Ground!

Thursday , March 26

Join us as we combinetwo activities into oneexciting day. Nestled inthe scenic forest ofMontgomery County isa zipline adventure justwaiting to beexperienced by you!Included on the tour are8 ziplines and aswinging bridge. Explorethe woods from 15’ toover 80’ in the air as you zipline 150’-2000’ in length. After lunchon your own at the inn, you’ll join a naturalist from Turkey RunState Park to experience the rugged beauty of Rocky HollowCanyon Nature Preserve. This trip begins with a walk across asuspension bridge spanning gorgeous Sugar Creek andcontinues through the primitive beauty of this amazing canyon.Take a step back in time on this amazing journey. Half will hikeor zipline and then switch. Make sure you dress for the weatherand bring a water bottle.

Puppets, jewelry,gadgets, gimmicks, and more natural history books thanyou can even imagine will be offered for sale.
