NEW Junior High Program! St. Paul the Apostle Catechetical Ministry is excited to launch

the new Junior High Call to Faith Program. Catechists will facilitate in collaboration with Youth Ministry toprovide a rich faith experience for our young adolescents. This year’s curriculum will focus on threethemes: Morality, Sacraments and Trinity, and how Social Justice ties into each of those themes.

What’s New?

• New curriculum

• New calendar (no more track system) everyone follows the same calendar this year. Classes

meet once a week for an hour and 15 minutes

• Junior High sessions meet in the Teen Center (except home sites session) *Please note that

once a month home site sessions will attending sessions in the Teen Center.

• Youth Ministers will be part of the Catechetical Team facilitating sessions

Children attend sessions the entire time they are in the RCIA process. Parents attend 4 faithformation gatherings with their child throughout the year. When a decision is made by parent andchild to continue faith formation, and there is a desire to continue more intense study of the Catholicfaith, the child will: (1) Obtain a sponsor or godparents (2) Participate in the Rite of Acceptance intothe Catechumens. Children will remain in this discernment process for approximately one year

The Rite of Christ ian Init ia t ion (RCIA) is designed for adults who are seeking an unders tand ing of theCatholic faith, and who, after hearing the mystery of Christ proclaimed, consciously and freely chooseto enter the way of faith in the Cathol ic perspect ive.
