Definition of key concepts
Knowledge Management Inclusive concept that refers to all
initiatives that enable an organization to manage and enhance the flow of knowledge that creates itself or acquires from outside.

Knowledge Management Knowledge management therefore refers
to: Learning ability and innovation The capability to exploit the individual
knowledge into a mobilizable institutional competence
The ability to develop skills The ability to capture the experiential
capital of an organization to strengthen the internal dynamics and impact on its environment
Capitalization of experiences
Capitalization of experience is a process of identification, collection, organization, analysis and validation of knowledge on a given initiativeIt refers to capture of knowledge diversity from experience in order to learn from and shareIt therefore results in an action of communication and integrates the perspective of knowledge management
Communication All the resources and techniques for
dissemination of message trought a more or less wider audience, heterogeneous and action to influence.
It is the subject of strategies and communication plans in order to manage their effects
It also participates in the dissemination and use of knowledge
Tradiditionnal knowledge Basic system of Local decisions Contextualized and often unproven on a
universal scale Non-formal transmission of mechanism, Tacit knowledge, Not theoretical practical knowledge Dynamic and constantly evolving
Traditional Knowledge in climate Change Adaptation
Rainfall forecast Proposals on technical choices made as a
function of forecast results Incantations to cause rain Adaptation of agro-forestry techniques Techniques of water conservation and soil
Callenge related to traditional knowledge
Protection and safeguarding of traditional knowledge
Conservation of biodiversity Traceability of the diffusion process Enhancement of local cultural heritage Understanding and mobilization of ST
adaptation mechanism facing the evolution of contexte
Importance of traditional knowledge in adaptation programs
Greater adaptability of adaptation programs Enhanced participation of affected
communities; Empowerment of people in the decision
process Better understanding of the situation and
local practices by external agents Strengthening of reproducibility conditions
(use of local resources)
Remember Diversity of
knowledge Holders Dimensions Transmission
mechanisms Challenge of recovery,
principle of equal importance to the Universal Heritage
