9TH REGIONAL JURIED

BIENNIAL EXHIBITION

This exhibition allowed for any artist living in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington, D.C.

to submit works for consideration. As a result, a total of 80 artists from

all over these areas, including 62 by Rehoboth Art League members and

17 by non-members, submitted a total of 220 works for review by juror

Robin Craren and awards judge Charles Plante. Ms. Craren selected a

total of 68 works for inclusion in the show, 30 by member artists and 9

by non-member artists.

CHARLES PLANTE

EXHIBITION JUDGE

London dealer Charles Plante of

Charles Plante Fine Arts is acclaimed

for his stylish and discerning

eye. Since 1988, Plante has dealt in

European works of art, specializing in

watercolor drawings of architecture,

gardens and interiors, with a particu-

lar emphasis on the neoclassical peri-

od. Throughout the range of offer, an emphasis is placed on

quality, condition, authenticity and provenance, and therefore

frequently meeting museum standards.

The Rehoboth Art League is supported, in part, by a grant from

the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partner-

ship with the National Endowment for the Arts. The Division

promotes Delaware arts events on www.DelawareScene.com.

ROBIN CRAREN

EXHIBITION JUROR

Ms. Craren is the Collections Research Coordinator at the Barnes Foundation

in Philadelphia, PA, where she manages

and helps to develop research of the

institution’s esteemed permanent

collection. She has held curatorial and

collections management positions at a variety of Philadelphia-area

arts organizations–including The Foundations of the Union League,

Abington Art Center, and the Rosenbach Museum & Library–as

well as in private collections. Ms. Craren received her BA from the

University of Vermont and her MA in Art History from Temple

University.

their art collection. With an amazing representation of regional

artists, as well as from their homeland in the South, these paint-

ings represent explorations of the quality and treatment of light in

an array of mediums. This event is held at a private home in Reho-
