WHAT IS COMMunity

It’s to know people , you know your neighbours in your area, you try to help wherever you can , if you live in an area then you can reach out to each other, you try to help.

Its unity, a feeling of being a part of something bigger than yourself.A safe place.A happy place.Where you are able to have closeness.Where people can just drop in and you can feel at home and feel good in their space too.Where our walls don’t keep each other out.

People staying in a specifIc area. In a village, you are the whole village, but here in Joburg you speak of suburbs and its surround-ings.

Community is a feeling of togetherness and unity. Its living together in a united kind of way.

Community is a sense of being part of a Larger group which is related to a specifIc area.

WHAT IS COMMunity

It’s the people around you, you try to fIgure out what you can do for each other, how you can help one another.

A community should be integrated and resourceful. They should be striving for a common purpose, yet still allow each person to refLect their own uniqueness. as we identify our own individual needs. A community should be self-sustaining, accountable and should be able to make its own changes as it asserts its diversity.

Community is the integration of people from different back-grounds and cultures that come to live in a settlement or area, and then start a process of trying to understand each other, trying to live together, to live with each other, try to help and be there for each other. Basically, to be interdependent in the same vicinity or area.

People close to you. The environ-ment where you live. Community is there to assist you, they can come to you whenever a need arises knowing you will be able to assist. Its at least to know your neighbour, then to even go beyond that.

Community starts in my house with friends and nieces. Its knowing the people where you live. And even taking it beyond that, .. making a col-lective. Where children walk and play in a safe and clean environment

WHAT IS COMMunity

Community is to be able to communicate with each other, to get along.

It’s getting everybody involved in what is happening , that’s everybody that stays in the area, a wide group of people.

Residents living in an area.Residents grouped in one area.

Sadly Mr Small passed away in January this year.

Community is the people around you working together to make life easier. We need to get past our own problems and try to be nicer to each other. Some-times even a big smile goes a long way.
