WE ARE GLAD YOU ARE JOINING US TODAY as we worship our great and gracious

God, and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If this is your first time with us, allow us to introduce ourselves.Worship Service. Our weekly service follows a responsive pattern of worship found in Scrip-ture, as a dialogue or conversation between the Lord and His people. Here God meets with us, speaks to us, and blesses us; we speak and respond back to Him in praise, thanksgiving, and renewed commitment.Communion. Each week at RCC we celebrate the Lord’s Supper, receiving bread and wine as covenantal tokens of Jesus’ body and blood. Christians – young or old – who are baptized, and are in good standing in Christ, are invited to partake.

To facilitate Communion distribution, we encourage a representative of each household or group to come forward using the outer aisles to receive the Communion elements. Glu-ten-free bread is available on the pulpit side.Nursery. We love having children involved in the whole service. Please don’t worry if someone with you is wiggly – we are glad to have you all worshipping with us! During the sermon, nursery care is available for children two and under. Pastor: In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit!yy Congregation: Amen! Matthew 28:19

The LORD be with you! Ruth 2:4

yy And also with you!

When the Lord sends forth his Spirit, yy He renews the face of the earth! Psalm 104:30

“And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of dis-obedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.” Eph. 2:1-3

yy Oh merciful Father, who in compassion for your sinful children, did send Your Son Jesus Christ to the death of the cross, and by his glorious res-urrection delivered us from the power of the enemy: We confess to our shame that we have not always walked as people who profess the Name of Christ. Forgive us our sins, and grant us the grace to die daily, that we may evermore live with him in the joy of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord. Amen.

“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” Eph. 2:4-6

Almighty God in His mercy has given His Son to die for your sins and to be raised for your justification; and for His sake forgives you all your sins. This I declare in the name and authority of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. y Amen

R E V E L A T I O N 4 : 1 — 1 1

1 After these things I looked, yy and behold, a door standing open in heaven.

And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying,

yy “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”

2 Immediately I was in the Spirit; yy and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne.

3 And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance;yy And there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an

emerald. 4 Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting,

yy Clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads. 5 And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices.

yy Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

6 Before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. yy And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living

creatures full of eyes in front and in back. 7 The first living creature was like a lion,

yy The second living creature like a calf,

The third living creature had a face like a man, yy And the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.

8 The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within.

yy And they do not rest day or night, saying: “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!”

9 Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever,

yy 10 The twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne

And worship Him who lives forever and ever, yy And cast their crowns before the throne, saying:

11 “You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; yy For You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.”

EPHESIANS 1:3–14

New King James Version (NKJV)

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our

Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with

every spiritual blessing in the heavenly

places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in

Him before the foundation of the world,

that we should be holy and without blame

before Him in love, 5 having predestined

us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to

Himself, according to the good pleasure of

His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His

grace, by which He made us accepted in

the Beloved.

7 In Him we have redemption through His

blood, the forgiveness of sins, according

to the riches of His grace 8 which He made

to abound toward us in all wisdom and

prudence, 9 having made known to us the

mystery of His will, according to His good

pleasure which He purposed in Himself, 10 that in the dispensation of the fullness

of the times He might gather together in

one all things in Christ, bothwhich are in

heaven and which are on earth—in Him. 11 In Him also we have obtained an inher-

itance, being predestined according to

the purpose of Him who works all things

according to the counsel of His will, 12 that

we who first trusted in Christ should be to

the praise of His glory.

13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard

the word of truth, the gospel of your sal-

vation; in whom also, having believed, you

were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 whois the guarantee of our inheritance

until the redemption of the purchased pos-

session, to the praise of His glory.

Congregation of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord has prepared His table for all who love and trust in Him for their salvation. All those who have repented of their sins, have been bap-tized and are in good standing in the Church of Jesus Christ are welcome at this table. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.

Whosoever will be saved, before all things it is necessary that he hold the catholic faith;

yy Which faith except every one do keep whole and undefi led, without doubt he shall perish everlastingly.

And the catholic faith is this:yy That we worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity; Neither con-

founding the persons nor dividing the substance.

For there is one person of the Father, another of the Son, and another of the Holy Spirit.

yy But the Godhead of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit is all one, the glory equal, the majesty coeternal.

Such as the Father is, such is the Son, and such is the Holy Spirit.yy The Father uncreated, the Son uncreated, and the Holy Spirit uncreated.

The Father incomprehensible, the Son incomprehensible, and the Holy Spirit incomprehensible.

yy The Father eternal, the Son eternal, and the Holy Spirit eternal.

And yet they are not three Eternals but one Eternal.yy As also there are not three Uncreated nor three Incomprehensible, but

one Uncreated and one Incomprehensible.

So likewise the Father is almighty, the Son almighty, and the Holy Spirit almighty.

R E F O R M A T I O N C O V E N A N T C H U R C H | 1 6 | S U N D A Y , M A Y 2 7 , 2 0 1 8

yy And yet they are not three Almighties, but one Almighty.

So the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God;yy And yet they are not three Gods, but one God.

So likewise the Father is Lord, the Son Lord, and the Holy Spirit Lord;yy And yet they are not three Lords but one Lord.

For like as we are compelled by the Christian verity to acknowledge every Person by himself to be God and Lord;

yy So are we forbidden by the catholic religion to say; There are three Gods or three Lords.

The Father is made of none, neither created nor begotten. The Son is of the Father alone; not made nor created, but begotten.

yy The Holy Spirit is of the Father and of the Son; neither made, nor created, nor begotten, but proceeding.

So there is one Father, not three Fathers; one Son, not three Sons; one Holy Spirit, not three Holy Spirits.

yy And in this Trinity none is afore or after another; none is greater or less than another.

But the whole three persons are coeternal, and coequal. So that in all things, as aforesaid, the Unity in Trinity and the Trinity in Unity is to be worshipped.

yy He therefore that will be saved must thus think of the Trinity.

Furthermore it is necessary to everlasting salvation that he also believe rightly the incarna-tion of our Lord Jesus Christ.

yy For the right faith is that we believe and confess that our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is God and man.

God of the substance of the Father, begotten before the worlds; and man of substance of His mother, born in the world.

yy Perfect God and perfect man, of a reasonable soul and human flesh subsisting.

Equal to the Father as touching His Godhead, and inferior to the Father as touching His manhood.

yy Who, although He is God and man, yet He is not two, but one Christ.

One, not by conversion of the Godhead into flesh, but by taking of that manhood into God.yy One altogether, not by confusion of substance, but by unity of person.

For as the reasonable soul and flesh is one man, so God and man is one Christ;yy Who suffered for our salvation, descended into hell, rose again the third day from the dead;

He ascended into heaven, He sits on the right hand of the Father, God, Almighty; From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

yy At whose coming all men shall rise again with their bodies; and shall give account of their own works.

And they that have done good shall go into life everlasting and they that have done evil into everlasting fire.

yy This is the catholic faith, which except a man believe faithfully he cannot be saved.
