Reflection

It is a normal thing when we faced difficulties in doing course work. The same

thing goes for me when doing English course work. At first, it seems to be difficult to me

to start doing this assignment because I did not really understand what our group

should talk about for the topic that we had chosen.

I had difficulty to search for information because some of the website is been

blocked. This had limited the ability to search the information on the course work. Makething worse, the library does not provide enough books for reference. The books in

library did not sufficient for all the students. I sacrificed my night time to the Bilik

Latihan to surf the internet because at there all the website did not been blocked. When

I had search for the information, the information did not match with my topic. This a little

bit made me felt down.

Furthermore, I also faced problem when came to writing the report. I did not have

any experience on writing a report. Hence, I did not know how should a report been

written. I needed to find all the information about report and asked my friend to explain a

bit about report writing to me.

Indeed, I also lack of time to do this task and to search for information about this

course work because I was busy with institutes activity. I had to stay until late of night to

make sure that this task finished before date due. To make sure that my group and I

can produce a good course work, I needed to sacrifice my sleep time.

Moreover, my partner and I had confusion in choosing the best poem. A list of

poem we had found but we did not know want to choose which one. So, we needed to

make the best decision about the poem that we want to choose.

Although I had faced many difficulties in the process of doing this course work, I

have learnt much valuable knowledge via it. A lot of new thing I had learnt from this

course work.

First of all, this assignment had helped a lot in the process of understanding

about poem and poetic devices. Before, I was confused with poetic devices because I

do not understand some of the term that been used in a poem. After doing many

researches via internet and books, I finally get a clearer picture about it.

Secondly, through this course work I had learnt how to write a report. I learnt that

writing a report was not the same like writing memos or letter. Report had it own format.

All the things happened and how we organized something all needed to be written in the

report.

Thirdly, via this course work I can build teamwork spirit. Through this assignment

I realize that co-operate among group members is important to produce a good course

work. We worked together as a team and discussed among ourselves how to solve

certain problem. Through this activity I learnt that sharing knowledge is one of the best

ways to widen our knowledge.

Ultimately, I had learnt many things through this course work. Doing such

assignment not only helps us to gain more knowledge but also helps to decrease the

gap between people around us.
