While most of these references focus on art and media as spaces of dissemination in research and research training, it is important to note that many of the strategies, methodologies and processes can be adopted and adapted from the creative arts and reconfigured into the broader humanities and other discipline areas. Many of these citations contain links, but please consider the links to the left to the broader publication or information on Practice-based and Practice-led research process. An explanation of a reading of the difference between practice-based and practice-led research can be found in the corresponding PDF. This list will be updated regularly. For a standard reader, the Practice as Research text by Estelle Barrett and Barbara Bolt is recommended. It is up to date, and covers a lot of the important ground of understanding the articulation of the creative process and research. SELECTED REFERENCES Bargar, R. R. and J. K. Duncan (1990).
