After the completion of the Census, the City Council Charter requires that the boundaries of the nine City Council districts be changed to reflect changing populations. A committee of two representatives of each council district was appointed with the responsibility to consider the public’s concerns and suggestions, and present a recommendation for changes to the full Council. In fact, redistricting affects EVERYONE living within the City Limits and your thoughts, comments, and ideas are encouraged.
