Abstract
The main purpose of this research was to analyze the relevance of the andragogical teaching of Instrumental English through
nonpresencial distance education at the Graduated Studies Division of the Architecture and Graphic Design Faculty of LUZ (GSD-
ADFLUZ). The theoretical basis for the same was found in the contributions reported by Curci (2003), Vadillo y Klingler (2004),
Reggio (2005), Matos (2006) and others. Three instruments for collecting data were designed, following a documentary and
descriptive methodology, in order to gather the opinions of academic authorities, teachers of instrumental English, and students
from GSD-ADFLUZ, who made up the sample population for this research. The results indicated that 95% were in favor of
implementing andragogical teaching of Instrumental English through distance education (DE). These results led us to conclude the
pertinence of offering this curricular aspect through distance education in order to resolve space restrictions in the curricular map
program.
