Our Mission:

Empowered by Christ, we walk together with all we serve.

Trinity View 2533 Hendersonville Road Arden, NC 28704 (828) 687-0068 www.trinityview.net

Everyone knows that February is usually associated with

the color red and everyone celebrates Valentines’ Day on

the 14th of February. Trinity View was no different.

Trinity View kicked off the month with National Wear

Red Day which was held on Friday, February 3rd.

Residents and staff participated by wearing red and

celebrating with drinks and desserts inspired by the color

red. Trinity View also hosted a “sweethearts” dance the

weekend before Valentine’s Day. Onward to the day of

love, February 14th, Trinity View hosted a Valentines’

Day Breakfast for potential community members here at

the facility. Several resident volunteers helped Sheila

Garrison and Bryan Byrd, Trinity View’s Marketing team,

as they introduced the attendees to our community. Erik

Sandstedt and the Trinity View dining staff are to be

commended for a job well done during this special event.

Finishing out the month of love, residents enjoyed a

special meal prepared by the food service department with

entertainment provided by Trinity Views’ very own Ozzie Orengo.

“Trinity View does not discriminate in housing, services, or employment on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, age, disability, or sex.”

The month of March is now upon us. Spring time is just a few

weeks away. As the harsh March winds whistle through the

woods, we are reminded that the warm summer breezes are on

their way. Soon the daffodils will break forth from the ground

with golden crowns of beauty. The birds will awaken and fill the

air with songs and sweet melodies. In due time, buds will appear

on the barren trees and the forest will spring forth in colorful new

life.

Spring time reminds us that winter does not have the final say. Likewise springtime

reminds us that neither does death not have the final say. Rather God has the final say and

by his own grace and love for all of creation, we are given the promise of new and eternal

life. “And the one who was seated on the throne said, ‘See, I am making all things new.’

Also he said, ‘Write this, for these words are trustworthy and true.’” Rev. 21:5. Thanks

be to God!

Spring is right around the corner at Trinity View and have you often wondered the

meanings of common flowers. Over the ages humans have devised symbolic languages

of flowers, which became popularized in the Victorian era. In the 1600's, Lady Mary

Wortley was pivotal in bringing flowers and meanings to the public’s attention. Prior to her research

and observations the symbolism of flowers was quite mysterious. Flower meanings vary according to

the type of bloom, how it is arranged, how many flowers in the arrangements, and combinations of

flowers. Always keep in mind that they are a symbol of generosity and love.

Pansies-Pansies have long been flowers of remembrance. Indeed, they have often been

placed upon memorial markers and stones to honor and remember those who are no

longer with us. They are also a symbol of togetherness and union.

Tulips- Tulips are also voracious sun seekers (like the sunflower) and will sway their

heads in crazy contortions seeking out the best angle for light. This makes them a

symbol of opportunity, adjustment, advancement, and aspiration. They are commonly

thought to represent attainment of spiritual awareness too. Because they are from bulbs,

and return every year like the daffodil, tulips are symbolic of resurrection and determination.

Daffodils-The daffodils have meanings of faith, honesty, truth, forgiveness, and

forthrightness. They are ever vigilant in returning each spring, and with their return we

are reminded that their beauty is capable of following on the shirttails of even the

harshest winters (or tribulations).

Roses– Roses’ meanings vary according to color. On the whole, however, roses are

symbolic of deep love, concentration, intelligence, balance, and passion. They are also

sometimes seen as a message for healing, revitalization, rejuvenation and courage.

Sunflowers- The way they move their massive heads to meet the sun make them a

flower of spiritual attainment, flexibility, and opportunity. They are also symbolic of

good luck, wealth and ambition. Sunflowers are a symbol of joy...specifically, joy found

through following our bliss.

Trinity View will join together with the Lutheran Church of

the Nativity from 11:00-11:30 am on Wednesday, March 1st

for an Ash Wednesday Service of Worship. The service will be

held in the meeting room with The Rev. Dr. Mark Fitzsimmons

presenting the message. All residents are welcome to attend.

We plan to communicate with residents on a regular basis using the

monthly Trinity Views publication. We are here to help you find answers

to questions you may have, to ensure that Trinity View is the home you

anticipated it would be, and to be sure you are aware of the many services

and programs which are available to residents. We know that folks moving in can be confused

by the wide variety of activities open to them. We will endeavor to be a resource for them

and for all residents, so everyone will enjoy our facilities to the fullest.

Council Members: Hugh Caudill, Lee Fowler, Ed Lassiter, Maxine Nelson,

Rob Newcomer, Connie Rhudy and Dot Williams.

As March roars in like a lion, grab a paperback and an apple and voila(!), an afternoon of

adventure, or a mystery, or who knows??? This month we are adding a dozen or so paperbacks

to our library, but first they will be featured on the display shelf near the front door. Feel free

to take one to read; enjoy!
