2. Company History & Background

Lothlorien was started in 1973 in the backyard of a home in Linksfield Johannesburg with the manual baling press currently used to bale all wire at the Paper Machines. After moving to Booysens Reserve where the yard was destroyed by a fire, Lothlorien moved to Tulisa Park where it operated as a hawker dealer similar to the customers of the current depots. In 1975, property was acquired in Roodekop where most of the older staff joined as teenagers and young adults whose faces we still see today. Lothlorien was able to gain market share by providing service excellence.

Page 6: RECYCLING PROGRAM PRESENTATION

In 1990 Lothlorien split into two divisions, Lothlorien Waste Paper for the collection and balingof waste paper, and the other is Lothlorien Paper Mills. The paper mills use waste paper as araw material and produce kraft paper grades for the packaging industry. Lothlorien uses thelatest technology in their paper mills and are gaining market share daily because of the qualityand availability of our product. On the 17th October 2014 Lothlorien Waste Paper changed its name to Lothlorien Recycling inline with the Company ambition of offering a total Recycling/Waste Management solution to ourcustomers.
